WhipBirds have a) great overall stats b) very high HP !! c) a modaretely fast levelling curve (don't need too much XP to level up) d) good spell resistances They are also easy to breed and the spells/ abilities that are needed to succeed in the speedrun are obtainable with the right breeding patterns.

Almost every battle is kind of a gamble for this game if you want to go fast.
So why are you running the Japanese version? Shorter text?
Shorter text and faster resets. Japanese version should be about 3-5 mins faster than a similar run on english version.

I'm not 100% sure with DWM, but often the formula is ATK / 2 - DEF / 4 * random(0.8, 1.2)
