In todays "Retro Hunting" Episode, I go hunting with one of my favorite TH-camrs, @HairyTornado ! We talk all things reselling and childhood nostalgia! We also hit up some pawn shops and flea markets for 90s gems and things to flip for quick cash! Surprisingly this Full-Time Veteran reseller made a rookie mistake and left an easy item to flip right in front of him...but don't worry, i grabbed that thing QUICK! Always on the hunt for retro games, vintage toys and 80s / 90s nostalgia at Flea Markets, Thrift Stores & Garage Sales! He has enough of a viewership to create hype, why is wrong to call out a TH-camr who is giving free advertisement to a corrupt company like Wata? Go look at most of these high viewed TH-camrs and many we're doing the same thing, sending off sealed games off to Wata. Phoenix Resale, Chaseafter and Retro Rick. Just because he's built a loyal fanbase doesn't devoid him from criticism, it's as once you've become a fan of a channel, that TH-camr cannot be held accountable for participating in shady practices.

I dont know about all the TH-camrs but i know most videos are filmed in advance before the scandal hit.

"A Bug's Life" is the one with the grasshoppers. Hopper, the villain, who was voiced by Kevin Spacey, was the one who was forcing the ants to harvest the food for him and all of his cohorts. THen Flick goes out on a mission to find "War Bugs" to help battle Hopper and returns with Circus Bugs instead. All of the other ants thought "Well it looks like Flick screwed up again." Well, it works out to their advantage because they make a fake bird hoping to scare off Hopper In turn he winds up being eaten by an actual bird. It is a great classic Pixar film that is coming up on its 25th anniversary

I usually list them with manual, extra ad flyers etc etc. If they don't those I don't even sell them, unless it are games I need for the collection (personal)
The Black Hole is an interesting old Sci-fi movie. I loved the robots in it.
When rick said they have like the same common like same age same height but forgot to mention same hairy people :P
That vcr copilot was for setting up a recording of a show as not all vcrs at the time had that scheduling feature. The top was the actual clock and the bottom was what you would set the timer for. My dad used to record all the time. Making sure that you record five minutes prior and five minutes after to ensure that you got the whole thing as sometimes the machine would take a bit to actually record. Of course if there was breaking news, then the whole effort was for nothing

Hey Retro i'm enjoying the content
A different but great vid Rick. There's a ton of great info here from 2 different but similar aspects of reselling. Not going to lie, golf for me, you'd probably just laugh through every part of it. The only comparison that would make sense for me would be happy Gilmoreish. Not full running wild like him but close enough. Golf seems to take a ton of patience and obvious skill. I'd usually enjoy that kind of challenge but not my finest moments of showcasing. Maybe someday but for now I'll stick to mini golf, the driving range and giving folks a good laugh. 👊

True story, the first time Scott met my dad he asked him if he liked golf and Scott said “Yeah, I play whack f@ck. I whack the ball and then I yell F@CK”. For a very long second there was a terrifying silence and then my dad roared laughing.

If you haven't had a Butterfinger in that packaging before, you might have noticed a difference in taste as well. Ferraro bought Butterfinger from Nestle a couple years ago!

It's always been Berenstain, it's just that as kids it was easier pronouncing it as Berenstein, and that's why we remember it as such. Same thing as when you misplace something, and in your mind's eye you clearly see that item in a certain location, though it's not there.

I only dabble in flipping games, but my biggest pet peave is when people post a lot of games they are mostly old sports games. They list the price as 5 or 10 each when they're worth like 50 cents. It clogs up listings.

The same thing that happened to your N64 box happened to me just the other day, I bought a Wii in a black box that I'm gonna do a laser replacement on and they shipped it with a thin paper cover and taped onto the box, so I went over the edges with sharpie where it wore down and left some of the tape on.

Very nice swing retro Rick….I had full ride to North Texas my self I was scratch golfer growing up my cousin was a pga pro he started teaching me when I was 3 years old lol I didn’t take the full ride college just wasn’t for me….I was not the brightest crayon in the box I was just really good at golf 😂 I grew up actually playing with Andrew Landry who is now a PGA tour pro we grew up competing against other in the HGA and the STPGA

For CDs keep an eye on MSFL gold 24 k plated discs. They are hard to find now but they were released in early 90s and have remastered (then a major technology) of various rock and some major big hit CDs . The front packaging will say and will look different . (Also will say MFSL on the spine instead of record company and is always black and white lettering)
