If Dee put as much energy into working on herself and finding a job, and being a mother, as she did manipulating and conniving, shed be in a better place!!!
Bob knew all about Dee's plans to entrap Pat by getting pregnant !! He needs to fess up that he knew and never said a word!!!! He was complicit as well!!!
Well Pat finally grew a pair of gonads ! Just a Little too late though. This episode and the prior three were my favorite those first three years. Delia has tortured the Ryan Family and the Coleridge Girls for too long. Then she has the audacity to tell Pat it was cruel to open window and say Jump when she threatened for the umpteenth time to kill herself. Loved Maeve letting her have it. Then Watching as Karma began catching up to her Made me so happy. She doesn’t realize how revolutionizing this moment is her , providing her the chance to become a somewhat productive member of society.
Well to be honest Dee had it coming. Because she got herself knocked up with Pat’s kid and lied about being pregnant when she had a miscarriage. All because Dee didn’t want Pat to marry Faith. And yet Pat acted just like Dee when Faith married Tom always flirting with her in front of Tom.
There are two sides to what's going on here. Yes, the things Delia did were wrong. But it's not like her insecurities weren't with no reason. Now, where she took those insecurities, is another thing. But while she was married to Frank, he off having a thing with Jill. At first, Pat did care for Delia. There was an attraction which began prior to her marriage to Frank. And then as time went on, Pat and Faith developed feelings for each other. Both, in effect, were involved with other women while they were supposed to be married/engaged to her. And yes, Delia became involved with Roger. Delia latched onto the Ryans because she needed people who were nurturing to take the place of her real parents. I think if she had chosen less seemingly perfect people (and they weren't perfect, even though one might think they are), she might not have felt she needed to live up to their standards. I think that's what Roger symbolized to her. It's a shame the cast went through so many changes while RH was on the air. The roles of Delia and Pat were never the same when other actors played those roles. IL and MG were wonderful.
That's good insight into Delia's character. I think part of the responsibility is Bob's. He knew how insecure his sister was and should have seen that she got help when she was younger. He must also have known back then how hurt she was when Pat broke up with her and did it occur to him that her marrying Frank wasn't a good, idea, as it was on the rebound and also a way to hang onto the Ryans?
@diamondtiara84 well, yeah it occurred to Pat it wasn't a good idea for Dee to marry Frank. Dee and Pat were together, but Dee told him she loved them both and was going to marry Frank because Pat didn't want to get married yet. He was still in med school.
Pat was gullible enough to marry Delia because she was carrying his baby (maybe Roger’s?). Dee made wimps out of both Frank and Pat. Faith was an angel with a crooked halo thanks to her drinking. Tom turned out to be an insane Irishman with a tormented past.
No, it was Pats baby. She chose the dates for the cruise around her ovulation date knowing Pat would come and rescue her in Boston before departure. She nixed all other dates and ports that Roger suggested. I felt so sorry for Roger coming back to an empty cabin. He was incredibly happy she had agreed to go away with him. And he spent a fortune on her cruise waredrobe.
Delia was the worst crier in soap opera history. Never one tear. NOT ONE. All she did was screw up her face, sniffle and make sounds like a monkey. And she didn't think miscarrying 3 weeks before the shot-gun wedding was important? Nothing was ever her fault and nothing was "fair" if she didn't get her way. She was an overgrown 5 year old.
Pat should not have told Delia to jump. This was disrespectful! Instead he would have told her to get out of his life and the lives of all of the Ryan family.
I sympathize with Dee so much. Frank and Pat were older than she was, and they both could have just kept their pants zipped. Having a miscarriage is horrible especially when you know you will completely lose the baby’s father. Delia may always react poorly, but she has reasons for her feelings!
I bet! Especially when you lie, scheme and manipulate the pregnancy and pill taking, to trap a man into marriage! Skanko Delia is the last one in the world that deserves your sympathy!
+patty1977 please don't feel sorry for delia. she us a lying conniving childish you know what and I am sick of her. for the record Ilene Kristen was awesome lol. she really made hate delia lmbo
+NeishaLuvsGH That's interesting you mention IK because I couldn't stand Delia when she was played by Randall Edwards! When IK played her I felt how Delia's childhood and dependence on the Ryans led to everything that happened with Frank and Pat. The main reason I thought Pat had to leave Delia was that she wouldn't let him sleep, the man is a doctor lmao!
***** NeishLuvsGH, i agree with you about delia, You are absolutely right., sister. She's responsible for her own actions. She's a grown woman, and very selfish, she brought everything on her self. although i hate to see any body lose a baby in a miscarriage. She sefishly took those pills and brought that miscarriage on. she probably hurt that poor baby.
Pat throwing the window open and telling Delia to jump has got to be one of the top 10 Ryan's Hope scenes ever.
He should have told her that on the cruiseship.
Same
WOW! Pat telling Dee to jump out the window. Those staged suicides and those fake suicide threats have lost all their power.
If Dee put as much energy into working on herself and finding a job, and being a mother, as she did manipulating and conniving, shed be in a better place!!!
I looooooved when pat told her to jump fianally pat backbone!!
I remember watching this when it was on Soapnet. Couldn't wait for all of Dee's secrets to come out. One of my favorite scenes ever!
Me too
Bob knew all about Dee's plans to entrap Pat by getting pregnant !! He needs to fess up that he knew and never said a word!!!! He was complicit as well!!!
Perfect example of an enabler .
Does he ever get called out on knowing ?
@@woodwork9862 I don’t think so.

Maeve and Johnny should have stayed out of it all along!!!!
The way Pat opened that window was funny for some reason lol
IL and MG should do a comedy off Broadway or something
Lmbo
Yes she tried that once too many times
Go Ahead Deila Jump I love that line
Me too. I’ve never forgotten it!!!!

Frank and Jill are engaged. Rae's not going to like this. HAHAHA
Rae was so conniving
Dee was always a mess. The actress was a powerhouse
Johnny and Maeve should have had stayed out of the situation with Pat and Delia
God yes. Sometimes I think the show should be called Nosey's Hope.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if MG didn't ask IK to marry him. I now know why she may have turned him down.
Would have loved to have seen a story line of Faith and Pat together!
S-p-o-i-l-e-r
They are together by the end of the year and again for a time in1983
Bravo Pat 👏👏 YEAH 😅😂😆🤣😆
An episode of contrasts: one Ryan brother's relationship is headed for a new beginning, while the other brother's is ending (hopefully) for good.
Loved this story line.

She's an embarrassment

All of deliahs problems stem from her childhood - I believe - she never grew up!
I love Bob but he knew about some of her devious steps in her schemes so he shouldn't be completely off the hook.
Pat was so in love with Faith… that he slept with Delilah? 🤔 She’s nuts, but he’s far from innocent.
And Pat paid dearly for it! Deservedly so!
Delia and Pat were together before she married Frank.
Agreed
Oh Pat you have only to blame yourself.
Frank always led Jillian on. She deserves better.
Dr. Pat sure was handsome and the *only* reason to watch this over acted show.
I think He looks just like Jim Morrison of the Doors. He Would've Been Excellent in Playing the Part. Don't you think? There Is a Resemblance there.
If I remember right earlier episodes Pat was on drugs, because of Deila
Pat was gullible enough to marry Delia because she was carrying his baby (maybe Roger’s?). Dee made wimps out of both Frank and Pat. Faith was an angel with a crooked halo thanks to her drinking. Tom turned out to be an insane Irishman with a tormented past.

Oh God Delia
Loving the show right now but irked that the only 2 i would actually like recast rae and senneca are on for years!!!!!
Loveryns hope
Were MG and IK more like real-life lovers off screen? What does anyone think? I wonder if she turned down his marriage proposal once.
I later found out he dated Kathy Tolan, Mary no. 3.
Pat should not have told Delia to jump. This was disrespectful! Instead he would have told her to get out of his life and the lives of all of the Ryan family.
Oh, but so good considering their history and Pat risking his life going out on that hotel ledge to rescue her.
Victim narcissist
I sympathize with Dee so much. Frank and Pat were older than she was, and they both could have just kept their pants zipped. Having a miscarriage is horrible especially when you know you will completely lose the baby’s father. Delia may always react poorly, but she has reasons for her feelings!
No sympathy here!!!!
Pat and Dee were same age.
I bet! Especially when you lie, scheme and manipulate the pregnancy and pill taking, to trap a man into marriage! Skanko Delia is the last one in the world that deserves your sympathy!
She needs you bob your her big brother.....
I feel so sorry for Delia. I really don't get the Pat/Faith thing, especially after Faith Catlin left
Its funny you should say that, I just held a tissue hanky up to Delia and said, here, blow your nose, Delia.lol.
+patty1977 please don't feel sorry for delia. she us a lying conniving childish you know what and I am sick of her. for the record Ilene Kristen was awesome lol. she really made hate delia lmbo
