    Hello Prachi ma'am, it was really very insightful and useful video! I look forward to upcoming videos.
    I was wondering, with 87.3% in ICSE, 84.3% in CBSE (commerce background) and 67% in Graduation (B.A. L.L.B. from NLU, Lucknow) is it possible to get calls from Top 6 IIMs.
    I was planning on developing some work experience of around 12 months and then appear for '25 CAT, does it make sense? Will the work ex be useful or should I aim for CAT '24 itself without work ex and will it get me good calls if I get decent enough CAT percentile?

    • @mbawithprachi
      @mbawithprachi  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Vinayak, thank you so much! That's the motivation I needed! ❤️
      Regarding your question, absolutely! You have decent grades in 10th and 12th, so as long as you get a good percentile in CAT, you can get calls from the top IIMs. Maybe not IIMB due to their focus on undergrad grades, but definitely others. Your work experience will also add points to your composite score.
      I recommend starting your job and simultaneously preparing for CAT 2024. If you can manage both, that would be ideal. Even if you don't get the desired percentile, you'll know where you stand and how much effort you need for CAT 2025. Gain some work experience, but if it's not too hectic, keep preparing for CAT on the weekends. And don't forget to fill out the form for CAT 2024. All the very best! 😊

      Hey, our 12th grades are a bit low, so to compensate for that, you will have to score exceptionally well in your CAT exam! Also, getting a call from IIMA/B might not be possible, but there are colleges that focus less on 10th/12th marks. So, you shouldn't lose hope and give your 100% while preparing for CAT 2024. Hi, different colleges have different criteria. You might not be eligible for some of the colleges, however, if you have good UG grades or try to improve it as much as possible and ace CAT - you will be able to get calls from some of the good colleges. @@mbawithprachi thank you. I have been preparing for the past 4 months, I have managed to complete arithmetic, algebra, and I solve 2-3 sets per day, and RC sets, but I’ve noticed that I still take some time to solve some of the tougher arithmetic concepts like time and work, TSD although I have solved decent amount of questions from these topics and my concepts are 85-90% clear. What should I do from this point? Also, the tougher sets in DI LR take me more than 20 minutes to solve. Sometimes even an hour.

      That's great to hear! You have come a long way. Now you can start practicing the difficult set of questions. Initially don't worry about the time taken to solve a question - rather focus on how you ended up solving a question v/s how did they solve it in the solutions. Compare the solutions and keep a note of whichever solution is shorter. And keep revising these notes. Eventually, in a month or so - you will realise that you have become comfortable in solving the difficult set of questions as well. Especially in DILR, never leave a question. Irrespective of the time taken, you need to solve it to develop that reasoning level. You will the results in a month or so! All the very best :))
