- Second season of AFL fantasy for me, hoping to improve upon my ranking of 42,964 last year. Can I reach higher than my round 1 ranking last year (885)? We'll see by the end of the week.

🏈🏈🏈 Richmond's Josh Gibcus has done a suspected ACL knee injury vs the Blues tonight... I have not before seen a year start with so many ACLs / knee reconstructions, starting with Magpie Dan McStay and Bulldog Bailey Smith a few weeks ago.
I can't keep track of all these ACLs / knee reconstructions.

One thing that caught my attention after the Keidean Coleman and Sam Docherty ACLs last week was an instagram comment saying to check the surfaces. Not entirely sure if it was a serious comment, although it got me thinking about the Gabba and how it got used for the final test match summer which was later than usual. Now we have most likely seen one on the MCG which hosted the Taylor Swift concert not long ago. That being said I don't think the most perfectly made surface in the world would have saved Gibcus from his landing, and it certainly wouldn't explain the pre-season injuries but it is an interesting debate.
