I like kol but his presence on the show just isn't needed right now. Especially to teach hope when freya is pretty much queen witch of the mikaelson family. Hope will be next. If kol brought something to the table to teach her that freya can't that's fine but he can't so I don't think he's needed.
+Lord Dom Snow Freya learned almost everything from Dahlia. Kol learned everything from Esther. There are somethings that Freya does not know and somethings that Kol does know, and some things Kol doesn't know but Freya does. With all being said is that they both can contribute too Hope learnings. Why have one teacher when you can have two. Also Kol can't forgive his family but he knows that he can start fresh with Hope.
Lord Dom Snow Kol knows more about magic than Freya, by far. Freya may have existed for 1,000 years but she spent most of them asleep. She was awake for a year then asleep for 100. She's walked the earth for less than 4 decades total. Kol may have spent some time in a box but he still spent the majority of a millennium studying magic with witches/covens all over the world. No other being in the world knows more about magic than Kol.

I felt bad for Marcel (losing his daughter and all), but she had every single thing that happened to her coming: *Ruining the harvest because she didn't believe, which in turned made the witches kidnap hayley to bring klaus in order to help them complete the harvest and defeat marcel. *Getting her friend (the violin player) involved, hence making him a target and eventually killed (she knew she was target, why risk getting him associated with her). *Running away when her power was at it boiling point and placing anyone in her area in danger. *Breaking klaus sire line, which brought all those bounty hunters to try and kill him and his family, and those of klaus sire line to kill all of them without fear of death (lucien). *Using the power from the sire break to bring back Kol and not thinking how that would affect him and then getting herself killed. *Helping (in part) in creating the monster (lucien) that wanted to kill klaus and his family by becoming the "beast" *Trapping Finn in his vampire body and getting him killed (thanks to lucien). *and now trying to kill klaus while stating to hope she wanted to help them. She talked about the Mikaelsons only looking out for themselves, that they are monsters (according to everyone), but they are those who have seen the worst humanity has to offer and know that family is all they have so they fight for what is theirs; what's her excuse? They didn't know about it. But even if they did Malivore could've just spit the Hollow out and the next time the hollow returned no one would remember her are how to stop the Hollow. They wouldn't remember how hope needed to be protected from it. Things probably could've ended differently. Ended with the lost of young Hope forever.
