yes, yellow onions are the ones we use for onion rings and carmalizing to put on burgers. I think white are super tart-for salads. I sautee my beef too, then pour them into the crock pot, then I pour water into the sautee pan and scrape the beef bits to make a juice-then pour that into the crock pot-all day cooking. It's called deglazing-and it also helps it be an easy clean up on the pan. I hope you have a fun campground trip with your new topper! Bush Gardens too?! Can't wait to hear about that-never been.
You could simply just sear the beef with seasoning, add water or beef stock and let the meat cook for 1-2 hours then add in veggies and once those have cooked down, add in curry. Meat will be tender.
I add a little vinegar to the meat when it’s cooking in it’s sauce. The vinegar tenderizes the meat. I make beef stew all the time and it comes out very tender in only an 1 1/2 hours.
For stewed beef, you need to use chuck. Simmer the beef at least 3 hours. Occasionally, use a fork to pierce the beef. If the fork easily pierces the meat, it's tender. If not, keep simmering it.
I like the yellow ones. I just like their flavor profile. I like the red ones raw like in tuna, corn, broccoli or potato salad. My Aunt used to do white onions sliced and covered and cheese baked casserole so delicious!!!
You certainly have a very interesting approach to cooking. May I suggest you watch some cooking videos, the Food Network. Buy a cook book. And yes, there are differences between all varieties of onions, from scallions, to shallots, sweet Georgia onions, Spanish white onion.
Hey Anthony! Hope all is well. You can try 2 things to help tenderize your beef. 1) use a meat tenderizer to pound the beef a little. 2) “Velvet” the beef. Take about 3/4 tsp baking soda and massage it into the meat. Let it marinate about 30 minutes then rinse the meat off and pat thoroughly dry. Proceed with cooking as you like.
Hello Mr. Anthony... I tried the little pies at Walmart ( peacan, and a cinnamon cake) they were pretty good i was hoping to try the lemon but I guess they were all out..I hope you have a great day/ night...Safe travels.
Anthony, the white onions are more intense than the yellow onions. When cooking certain dishes, I may what the strong flavor of the white onion vs yellow or red. lol, there is a difference.
Yellow onions are strong and make you cry, white onions are a lil bit milder. Vidalia onions are sweet and honestly you can taste the difference and not with Tofu yuck!! Lol
Yo...Yo...Tony 👋🏿 To your onion 🌰 question: sweet isn't like sugar sweet it more flavor'ble which in seasoning terms brings out ta taste' it's the difference in using scallions/ green onions 🌰 🌰🌰🌰🌰🌰
I HATE TO TELL YOU THIS BUT IT'S THE BLACK N WHITE SEASONING...you need more than just salt n pepper but you putting it on the rice..lol and you should use that curry seasoning that person gave you.instead of that box curry you like ..that box has dullen your taste buds lololol but carry on lol
Anthony I did not see you put no water into that pot you just turned it on and that was it unless you pause the video and we didn't see it all I saw you do a seasoning it and start it now you can put curry in it but anyway use top sirloin not be stew when you do your curry next time and also stick to your white rice
You can tell the flavor differences, i think you just only used white onions. Red onions, white onions, yellow onions and shallots all have a different flavor profile.
😁. Do not buy the beef cut up. Buy it whole, as it needs the fat to keep it moist. Try to pick a small enough size to fit in your slow cooker, without having to cut it in small chunks. If you have to cut it, cut in half but do not remove the fat. Do not cut down until after the beef is fully cooked, as it should then be very tender. Do not over season the beef. It’s not necessary. Salt and pepper is all this type of beef needs. Less is more. Do not add water to the slow cooker, and cook slow. Most importantly, buy a high quality cut of beef, not that Walmart garbage. I suggest Costco or Whole Foods. If this doesn’t work, then it’s you, not the beef 😏because it’s one of my favorites. I only buy from Costco or Whole Foods though, and again buy it whole, with the fat still attached.👌🏽
🤔Maybe you should try tasting the beef curry by itself 1st... 😏 I'm not usually a fan of brown rice; but a family member of mine made brown rice with veggies broth and it was pretty good... 🤗It was the 1st time I actually liked brown rice...
Maybe people only use onions. You can tell the difference if you only use onions. Some people have elevated palates. If you use more spices in your cooking you may not be able to decipher the milder flavors.
Hi Anthony - not sure why you're having trouble making beef cubes tender. I love beef stew and use that cut of meat often and mine is tender like butter. I do sear it first and then braise or stew it on low. Your dish look delicious but maybe the brown rice was not the right choice. Brown rice is supposed to be more "nutrient dense" than white rice, but I'm personally not a big fan of brown rice. Peace and blessings.
It's not working for you Anthony but you're still eating it. I don't think that you sear it correctly you need just to have a little in the pan at a time you overcooked it disaster
ALWAYS ASK FOR THE SENIOR DISCOUNT EVEN AT THE FAST FOODS YOU LIKE..BECAUSE THEY WONT TELL YOU OR ASK YOU but most likely there is one even at walmart just ask?? i love a discount i got a150.00 back from my tires .and more stuff..js but you rich so you dont mind paying full price..and you over 55 honey you are considered ..SENIOR LOL
You definitely can taste the sweetness of the types of onion

There is definitely a difference in the taste between a yellow onion and a white onion 😂😂
Yes Anthony you can tell , each the of onions has a different flavor and taste.
Different varieties of onions have different levels of sweetness and heat. There are even super sweet varieties like Walla Walla and Vidalia.
I'm not a fan of the white onion, but I do love the yellow small cooking onion adds a lot of flavor to gravy, frying liver smothered chicken!!! 🐔🧅🧄😊😋
Yes, I love in WA and Walla Walla's are what we eat fresh with collards

Anthony have you try an electric pressure cooker, call instant pot, cook in a hour and will be tender.
It's the smell of the onions
I like the yellow ones. I just like their flavor profile.
I like the red ones raw like in tuna, corn, broccoli or potato salad.

Why can he use the good old pressure cooker , the pressure cooker will cook the meat in 20 minutes
Hello Mr. Anthony... I tried the little pies at Walmart ( peacan, and a cinnamon cake) they were pretty good i was hoping to try the lemon but I guess they were all out..I hope you have a great day/ night...Safe travels.
I typically cook those beef tips for 6 to 8 hours on low in my crockpot and they are super tender. I mean falling apart.
It's honestly the same way you can tell a granny smith apple from a honeycrisp apple.
When you buy the beef cubes pursue make sure they have fat running through it. If they're too lean they're going to be dry
I’ve always used yellow onions, so much yummy flavor, just my opinion
Hey Anthony enjoy❤God Bless
Fun Video idea. Buy a yellow, white, red onion and do a taste test raw then cooked😉
Happy Friday Anthony
Hi Anthony. It took me awhile to get use to brown rice too.
Anthony, the white onions are more intense than the yellow onions. When cooking certain dishes, I may what the strong flavor of the white onion vs yellow or red. lol, there is a difference.
HOW IS LAMONT??????
You should have put water in it for the meat to cook in the juice
Yellow onions are strong and make you cry, white onions are a lil bit milder. Vidalia onions are sweet and honestly you can taste the difference and not with Tofu yuck!! Lol
Hey Anthony, you didn't do your live Tuesday. we were looking for you
Yellow onions are sweeter, it's not going to be sweet in a savory dish but it enhances the flavor of your food more than a white onion
Hi Anthony,
Happy Holidays ❣️
I only live 25 mins from bush garden and I have a season pass there for me and my family
Fun time 😊❤🎉agree with you on the brown rice
Supersonic was my jam. Lol
Cooking the meat on low and slow also makes the meat tender.
The red onion is sweeter than the white and the yellow that's why they use it in sandwiches
I can’t stand white onion because it is sweet and it cook too soft! Sorry Anthony but there is a definite difference between the two!!
Yo...Yo...Tony 👋🏿

Hi Anthony!! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁✝️
The yellow onion is so much sweet. The burgers with onions be caramel even raw. You can taste the difference.
I tenderize beef by piercing it multiple times with a knife on both sides.
I don't like brown rice either ! But I'm sure it's good it looks good tho ! Happy Holidays to you my friend ❤️
Hey Anthony you actually explained the insulation story on another video.
I prefer brown rice but we’re all different ❤
Mr. Anthony go easy on the salt, remember the high blood pressure. Just saying.😂.
Sorry your wrong on that one. Yellow onions are much stronger. White onions,Vidalia, do have a sweeter taste.
Yellow is the sweet onion. The white is strong. I had it backwards for 69 years.
You can tell the flavor differences, i think you just only used white onions. Red onions, white onions, yellow onions and shallots all have a different flavor profile.

Anthony it’s stew meat. You should have cooked the stew beef for 8 hours
Vidalia onions actually are sweet.
Its when you eat thm raw😊
I'm watching the ads!!!! for you😑but love you
I suggested you to use Adolph's Meat Tenderizer, on the stew beef. Did you use it?
I did too, maybe he did, maybe, lol.
When making (eating) caramelized onions, I can tell.
TGIF

to me the taste in a white onion is milder than the yellow one's
Yes you can tell, people eat onions raw. That's how you can tell
Put it on your burger or hot dog, you can tell. Maybe not cooked in certain food ,you may not be able to tell.

The yellow onion is so much sweet. The burgers with onions be caramel even raw. You can taste the difference.
Vidalia onions actually are sweet.
