From it’s opening haunting chords, it’s clear this is a Pure Trance release of epic proportions. Simon Templar a.k.a. Jussi Paasonen (one half of Finnish production team Winkee) has carved out a niche for himself with previous releases Meltwater and To The Stars on our sister label Touchstone Recordings. Never rushing to the climax, his tracks build organically and methodically, staying true to the hypnotic and immersive sensibilities from which trance music originally took its name. The Alignment creates an intense and captivating atmosphere until the break at which a beautifully understated hook is released.
