Yes, I'm like that too, I drive my family crazy being clean. If I just have to stay in a hotel I'll get there early just to clean it, and change the sheets, I bring my own bedding and towels.
No shame in what you did. Watched your videos on the whole process and was inspired and encouraged by it. Also it was such a blessing to be able to get your teeth done. So many want or need them and are too afraid or can't afford them.
I feel Dejah. I grew up with a grandmother that cleaned the bathroom with her own cleaning supplies whenever we stayed at a hotel. A lot of her habits have stuck with me.
I feel you about letting Deja live on the campus and get the experience! She could meet some of her best friends there and it’ll make hanging out and really immersing herself a lot more real instead of commuting everyday. Sometimes you gotta push your kids to get out of their comfort zone if they won’t do it!
My daughter did the Disney College Program after her first full freshman year of college. She stayed at the Disney apartments and did all of the events, parties, meet & greets and activities Disney planned for them. That is the only part of the experience that Dejah would really miss out on. Either way it's an awesome program. BTW the new curtains look amazing. 😊

The dorm is totally part of the experience - great way to start learning how to work and communicate with others. HIghly recommend. "dorm stuff" isn't weird - at one point it was literally a requirement.
you share just enough for people who need the information. if they feel uncomfortable then they can watch someone else. simple. keep doing you!!!
I am a cast photographer at Animal Kingdom...I've been a cast member since 2018. I will say for the DCP students that I work with, if she can stay home, I would because a lot of them don''t like how their rent comes right out of their checks each pay period, and sometimes they're left with hardly nothing; which is why so many of them pick up multiple shifts all of the time. Also she is right...you do NOT know if you will get your OWN room. If she doesn't mind that part, then I'd say go for it as far as staying on campus. But if I were her, I'd stay home, and save as much as you can. That way she won't be extra stressed out trying to make the money to pay to live on campus. And if she'll be in school at the same time I don't think it'd be a great idea to be stressed while taking classes. Other than that, it's an amazing program, and Disney is the greatest company to work for. I absolutely LOVE being a cast member. She is going to have a blast. Enjoy every second of the experience. It's truly a magical place. I love your channel....God Bless.

Your right about the drugs. Here in California, Los Angeles specifically we recently had two cases were high schoolers went off campus and bought some which contain fentanyl…two died and several are hospitalized. But also it starts at home🙏🏾

Javonne you're not doing to much. People like to no at your age and under you're can get dentures and not be ashame. When you got them, you told about visits, the removal, the casting and the price. So if they wanted them they could save get on a payment plan or even get insurance. You were great with positive information. Great job🙂
Baby I’m proud of my dentures some people can’t afford to get their mouth fixed we are so blessed that we could have the work done and it’s not cheap by no means 😊

I agree, be careful everyone. People have been putting drugs in candy for years. As a substance abuse counselor, I have heard so many stories of how addictions got started at a young age. I worked at a women’s correctional facility and it was sad to hear their life stories.
I did DCP back in Fall 2019 and it was such a fun experience! Met so many friends from all around the world and till this day we are still friends! It also looks nice on the resume as well. Also now they have new dorms at Flamingo Crossing but back then there was Vista Way, Patterson and Chatham and The Commons but those are closed now.
You inspired me on new smile now it’s going on 2 yrs. I’m so use to them and people can’t tell the difference.

Congrats on her acceptance! I was accepted in that program back when I was in college. I got all the way to the orientation and backed out at the last minute. I’m 37 now and still regret that decision. I had a friend that went and she had a blast.
Living that close to the parks, it kind of makes more sense to just apply as a regular part time cast member while she attends school.
I did a couple of professional internships at WDW, sort of similar program to the DCP in that they provide housing (which i didn’t take advantage of).
I’d say you get the best experience out of the programs by living in the provided housing as far as meeting people and engaging in all the DCP-specific events. Even if 15min sounds fairly close, you’d have to account for the extra time needed to get to work with traffic as well as making it to the actual work location, so that’ll be a lot of road working to save how much money?

I enjoy your videos and I take whatever you have time for. Congrats to Deja. I did the College program between 2008-2009 and it was the best experience ever. Now I will say a lot has changed since I did it. I had a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom and 3 of my roommates were from different countries but you definitely have the opportunity to build lasting relationships all over the world literally. Enjoy!!

I did the DCP and it was the best experience of my life! It was almost 10 years ago but I’m still so close with people I met during my program ❤️
I don't trust linens in hotels even higher end ones and this is even before COVID. I take my own sheets, blanket and pillow along with towels. I use those ziploc vacuum bags and carry it with me in my luggage.

Congratulations to Dejah! I'm with her on the hotel rooms, I can't stand them. When I think I'm in a clean room, I find something dusty then a mug...lol. That's including the rooms that say white glove clean guarantee.
Having college roommates and staying in the dorm is a great experience in my opinion. I grew up watching A Different World and I couldn't wait for my college experience.

Congratulations Dejah my nephew did that program for a year. At first he loved it, then he liked it because he was been paid. However, the long hours at job assignment that you don't pick from or can change he hated but the housing was 100% better than his dorm at St. John's University. Also, make sure she reads and understand all their rules (work schedule, missing work, bad attitude, etc) before accepting.q

I'm 38 and yup I understand Dejah completely. When I stay in hotels I take my own sheets and blankets plus towels and I deep clean everything before. I don't like hugging and eating and drinking off people is a definite no. Then covid and all that other stuff happened and I said see yall made fun of me and now look lol.

That is how I found your channel. I was close to have to having all of my teeth pulled but I end up being able to get a bridge and some implants but that is really how I found your channel and I have been hooked ever since. Like you said sharing things like that at your age makes it so much easier and it lets you know you're not the only one going through things. And Try it Daja do you have to sign a long lease.. maybe 3 months
