    Putting that thing on an acoustic is just pure genius. Endless possibilities.

      @@LeonTodd just curious, for someone used to traditional whammy bars like a Floyd , how much of an adjustment would you need in the feel of pressure you apply to the bar when going from this digital setup to the Floyd and back n forth? It's gotta be very different right?

    That’s so cool especially for Les Paul owners as it adds more versatility without having to change guitars if you love your trem sounds.

    Got one of these last year for my Ibanez 2228 8-banger. Now worries about stability, tunable. Killer.

    That Between the Wheels is awesome!! Just bought the PRS piezo dual pickup/piezo semi-hollow and the Virtual Jeff to switch from Lifeson's sparkly cleans to his solo whammy harmonic tones. Thinking Manhatten Project, The Mission, Time Stand Still, and basically the entire ASOH set 😎👌

    I've known about this amazing device for a while. The acoustic guitar octave up was really beautiful. I'd like to see your take on the device in a deep dive. I can easily see it built directly into a guitar. Thanks

  • @rogercloud8861
    @rogercloud8861 ปีที่แล้ว

    Please please please do a "tutorial" on the exact way this unit is hooked up, and how mounted on guitar, used with acoustic pickups, moved to other guitars, etc., with closeup and SLOW demo of every aspect! I hate trying to second guess how it's all done. I think you are the guy to do this, methodically!

    • @rogercloud8861
      @rogercloud8861 ปีที่แล้ว

      And please show without your hand in the way! I didn't understand the wireless aspect at all - do you mean that it comes with a wireless capability? or is that optional?

    • @LeonTodd

      There are several install videos on the fomofx website that do just this

  • @Dandelion-32

    Pitch shifting an acoustic on stage should likely have a positive effect on feedback and possibly also on tonal clarity.

  • @RulesRedefined
    @RulesRedefined 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The pitch shifting seems to be the most transparent. Even more than the digitech drop stuff it seems. Did you experience any warbles?

  • @russmills5103
    @russmills5103 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video Leon, as always. What is the latency like with this thing? Compared to the Axe III virtual capo? I have a Les Paul and PRS McCarty and I would be terrified of ruining the finish on either with the double sided tape. Especially the McCarty which I believe has a top coat of nitro. You are a brave man.

    • @LeonTodd
      @LeonTodd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The FomoFX site shows them installing one of these on a nitro finished Tele and i believe the tape they've chosen is safe for those finishes

  • @hansgrayman4809
    @hansgrayman4809 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I stand impressed. Even as I sit here drinking espresso. I don't use whammy anymore on electric, but it's a cool device. Using it on acoustic was cool. But the virtual capo on acoustic was fantastic. It gave it a synth, alien kind of sound that was huge. I foresee some very cool music being made with it.

  • @bsriaudio
    @bsriaudio 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've had an eye on this for a while and this demo is great! Wondering if you've compared it to other pedals purely for the pitch shifted tone? It sounds better than a Digitech Drop or EHX Pitch Fork when set low in capo mode but I have no interest in the fake whammy bar part of the hardware. I just want a better sounding octave down pedal to feed my octave split rig.

    Looks cool & I'll be watching this device. My favorite guitars are all hard-tails (I absolutely detest locking nuts!). With this thing there would be no more worry of going out of tune.
    It looks like, from the video anyway, there is a very noticeable lag. Any thoughts on that aspect?

    • @LeonTodd
      @LeonTodd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The latency is great on this, no noticeable lag

    Hey I hope you see this! I really wanna buy this but I just want a whammy for fluttering but not really sure if it’ll go that fast, can you do a video or comment back that if you tap tha whammy bar faster it will have that flutter effect, hope this makes sense, can’t find a video of someone pressing it like a game controller
    I would hate to pay for it and find out I can’t do the fluttering effect that you can get with a real tight whammy bar

    • @LeonTodd
      @LeonTodd  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think so, it's more for the traditional whammy stuff
