My very first time hooking into a salmon, and a seal grabbed it. I fought that seal for 20 minutes and only got the head back. It was nuts. Thankfully I ended getting my second salmon that day, too. 💪🏻😁 Great job on those hookups and staying positive! 👍🏻
Phil is my old fishing buddy from a couple years ago. We haven't been skunked yet fishing for salmon together. Good to see him on the boat with you guys.

Got turned away at Depot Bay this morning. Dangerous conditions. 2hr drive to get turned away, so fished a river on the way back. Caught a Chinook on a spinner.

Great video! I know a lot of folks don't like flasher releases, but as a kayak fisherman I only manage a single rod and have a much better success rate landing fish when i use a release on 360's. Switched to them last year and not looking back.

I fish with downriggers here in Alaska. I loose a lot fewer fish after getting the flasher off my line. I now use a dummy flasher attached to my cannonball with my fishing line attached 5 or 6 feet above. Nothing between me and the fish but my line. Two kings and a silver in the boat yesterday!

Gnarly day for sure! Question. What weight sliders do you guys use? The 2 kinds I use have a little too high of a failure rate for my liking and I run anywhere from 6oz to 20oz weights. TIA and tight lines 🤙

I understand why you don't mention certain small out of the way places you all fish at but, Buoy 10? Please mention some of the great places we have here in Oregon and the PNW. Nice fish! I've been out 6 days without a salmon. I use a similar setup (no downrigger) off my inflatable but all I land are flounder. Could you please explain your rig and trolling technique.
Some of my most memorable fish were landed after rodeos like that; so much fun!

Wild Fish? I think most of them are UNMARKED fish. Big difference considering some nations don't mark the hatchery fish.
