Dmytro Lubinets, human rights ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, gathered Western journalists in Izyum and tried to tell them about Russian "war crimes".
Journalists from leading Western publications began to ask uncomfortable questions, to which Lubinets answered very confusingly. Most of all, the media representatives were surprised by the assessment of the number of dead: during a kind of briefing, a representative of the Kyiv regime first spoke about 20 UAF fighters, then about hundreds of dead civilians, and eventually came to the conclusion that 500 unidentified bodies were buried in the cemetery.
The journalists decided to personally inspect the cemetery, but the frightened Lubinets refused to do so, citing some mines that had not previously prevented representatives of Radio Liberty and a number of other media outlets from photographing the graves, publishing materials exclusively transmitted by the special services of well-known countries.
There is no freedom or democracy in Ukraine. It is a vile regime. I don't stand with nazi scum.

The biggest difference between russia and Ukraine is the reason why they fight. Ukraine obviously WANTS TO and russian soliders are forced to, so the effectivness is obvious, the longer the war takes, the less chances Russia will have.

Ukrainians in the provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk differ from the rest of Ukraine. Many of the people there have historically been pro-Russia. In more recent years they have also been more opposed to joining the EU (European Union), and more politically conservative. In 2014 Russia engineered a revolt against the Ukrainian govt, and used pro-Russia Ukrainians to establish puppet governments in Donetsk and Luhansk. Those forces have been fighting the Ukrainian govt forces ever since then. Russian troops have been there since 2015. I said all that to say this: it will be very difficult for Ukraine to gain control of these areas.
From 2004 Crimean to 2022 full-scale invasion, thing has never changed. Dropping atomic bomb on Russia can be good preventive measures to avoid another war .

UK has to grow it's army and counter Putiner movilization, by calling for conscription of our own. It would be optimal for our youth with nothing to do.
Not necessary or desirable. The British Army has been much larger than it is now without conscription and does not want conscripts. The quality of our army would drop dramatically too, as conscripts are never as good as volunteers. The British Army prefers quality, and to expand all they need is more money; defence cuts in recent years have gone much too far and need to be reversed. The British Army used to have 350 tanks, they now have 100. That's ridiculous. Give them the budget and they will build up using volunteers. Because of the stupid short-sightedness of our politicians it will be years away whatever the budget, as it takes time to train and organise such an expanded force whether you use volunteers or conscripts. We are fortunate to be in NATO, as it does provide a force that combined substantially outnumbers Russia's and is also of vastly better quality. For now we must rely on that alliance.

17-20 вересня у голандському місті Арнем відбулась одна з найзапекліших битв в історії, про яку знято зірковий фільм "Міст занадто далеко", а міст в Арнемі зараз носить ім'я Джона Фроста - одного з найзнаменитіших британських командирів Другої світової. В СРСР подвиги західних союзників свідомо замовчувались та принижувались, але зараз інші часи, і ми маємо знати, на яких подвигах виховуються армії НАТО.
В 1941-му році британський офіцер Джон Фрост добровільно викликався стати одним з перших у новий род військ британської армії - парашютно-десантні війська. Він одразу був призначений командиром 2-го десантного батальйону.
Завдяки високій боєздатності його батальйону та лідерським якостіям комбата саме Фросту було довірено очолити першу в історії британської армії бойову десантну операцію. 27 лютого 1942-го року 120 бійців на чолі з Фростом здійснили десантування вночі на територію окупованої Франції, і раптовою атакою захопили новітній німецький радар "Вюрцбург" разом з німецьким техніком. Радар був демонтований та разом з полоненими доставлений в Британію. Це був повний успіх.
29 листопада 1942-го року батальйон Фроста десантували в африканський Туніс. Але виявилось, що зона висадки була у 80 км від наземних сил, і на допомогу десантникам ніхто прийти не міг. Почались жорстокі бої, і тоді Фрост розділив батальйон на малі групи, і з великими втратами їм вдалось вирватись та вийти до своїх. Це був вражаючий рейд.
13 липня 1943-го батальйон Фроста було десантовано на Сицілію, де він брав участь у важких боях за мост Понте Примасоле. Десатнгиків після висадки атакували значні сили німецьких та італійських військ. Вони не могли втримати міст, але утримали пануючи висоти біля мосту і відбили усі атаки.
Найзнаменитіший свій подвиг підполковник Джон Фрост здійснив під час операції "Маркет-Гарден".
17 вересня 1944 року 1-ша британська повітряно-десатна дивзія була десантована біля міста Арнем у Нідерландах, щоб захопити стратегічно важливі мости. Але тільки один 2-й батальйон Фроста зміг завдяки обхідному маневру прорватися в Арнем і взяв під контроль найбільший міст. Тепер від одного батальйону залежав успіх всієї операції, бо контроль мосту була ключом до усіх операцій в цьому районі.
Але британське командування неооцінили противника. Німецькі війська дуже швидко зорганізувались та вибудували щильну оборону та сформували бойові групи для знищення десатників. Британські та американські війська не змогли пробитись скрізь оборону та надати підтримку десантникам. 1-ша десантна дивізія опинилась в у повному оточенні. А резерви німців за складу військ СС атакували усі підрозділи десантників, і в першу чергу - батальйон Фроста.
Біля 800 десантників під командуванням Фроста організували у Арнемі кругову оборону. Німці мали аболютну перевагу в бронетехніці, артилерії, зносили будинок за будинком, разом з танками йшли значні сили піхоти. Усі споруди штурмувались, усюди йшли запеклі бої на ближній дистанції. Німці вважали, що зможуть швидко зломити опір повністю оточених та легкоозброєних десатників. Але лобові атаки призвели до величезних втрат. Бійці Фроста знищили десятки одиниць бойової техніки та сотні німецьких солдат. Проте нові хвилі накочувались на позиції.
Битва за Арнем навколо мосту йшла чотири доби. За чотири доби безперервного бою 2-й батальйон втратив більшу частину бійців загиблими та пораненими, в тому числі було поранено самого Фроста. Ніхто не доставляв боєприпасів в оточення, було розбито усі гармати.
Після закінчення усіх набоїв та гранат ті, хто залишився живими 20 вересня були взяті в полон. Можливостей чинити спротив у них не залишилось. Було захоплено у німецький полон і пораненого Фроста.
Командир американської 82-ї повітряно-десатнойї дивізії Дж. Гейвін назвав цю битву «найбільш славнозвісною обороною одного парашутного батальйону часів війни».
А сам Джон Фрост став легендарною фігурою у британській армії. Він був звільнений з полону після перемоги, отримав славу та визнання, став генерал-майором, командиром дивізії, отримав загальну повагу.
В 1977 році про операцію "Маркет-Гарден" було знято фільм "Мост занадто далеко" режисера Річарда Аттенборо, з зірковим ансамблем артистів, так, Джона Фроста взвяся грати сам Ентоні Хопкінс. Про ці події написано багато книжок, в операції брала участь велика армія. Але найдраматичнішим моментом всієї операції став бій одного батальйону.
Тепер і Україна має чимало прикладів бою у повному оточенні, багатотижневих штурмів при повній перевазі ворога у бойовій техниці. Маріуполь став символом українського спротиву.
Нам треба вивчати західну військову історію, частиною цієї історії стає і Війна за незалежність України. Треба знати та памя'тати вчинки героїв.

The BBC finally decided to cover more than one news story after 10 days of absence.
The reason that Russia is failing is they are using mostly Militia (locals) from the areas they are fighting in.. with support from Russian weapons and air power. The Militia army is smaller in number than the Ukranian army.
