Same story .. my age is 25 and was tired of selecting best guy but I found none .. almost a year ago I meet prasenjit who doesn't match my checklist but I m crazy about him. I have a similar story, though mine is an arranged marriage but that one thing that I felt after talking to my husband in the first meeting was that, even after being a really shy person, I was pretty comfortable talking to him. We didn't ask much from each other, we just discussed in general as two strangers but there was a positive vibe that I felt talking to him and I was not worried at all, I was surprised why I am so comfortable with this person, while I hated such meetings......
In my prayers after my marriage , I usually have one thing to say, " Thank you "

gugu pugu God gives us opportunity to find someone who finds you. In today's time we can't judge someone only by just one flash ...it's takes time to be understood and be understable for someone.. Bad experience created bad memories and then you stopped trusting to anyone.

One of the key takeaways I had from that book was - " They say say you can chose your friends but not your family. But the truth is that you do have the chance to choose your family too (wrt the spouses we choose to settle down with).

That's so true.. evaluate yourself, not the other! You got really emotional to the end....my advice to the young girls out there is.. always remember there is more than meets the eye. Make a checklist, but don't be rigid about it. Also listen to your instinct/heart. Don't ignore that 6th sense!
