Hey great video! I own a 2019 RDX and I’m happy to see that other people agree with me that it’s such a fun car to drive!
Couldn't agree more!
BEST VIDEO I HAVE SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME!! Very well done and easy to follow... i not sure if u are still working on cars at a dealership. But i would bring my vehicle to u!! Thanks for an amazing informative video on uptube!!🎉🎉🎉
That's cool way of flushing the brake system..my mechanic still do the 2 person system
Still works great!
I rarely get my stuff on time from Amazon- ESPECIALLY if I’m waiting for it. Gunna do my fluid flush in spring… got a type s… gunna check out those brembros then too. Thanks for the video
Oooo a type S! I wanttt
I can relate to groaning every time you get up and down 😂
Nice look at how to properly maintain the fleet!
All the groans
Hi Alex…very interesting and have a question: I realized that you didn’t put grease or lubrifiant in the specifics points of contact on the brake pads. My problem with my RDX2023 is that when I release the brake pedal from a stationary position, there is a big grunting/cracking noise coming from de wheels/brakes. It is always there when leaving home and Even after lots of braking. We can Even hear the noise when going from Park to Reverse to Drive and vive-versa. I can send you a video if you want. Car has only 15000 km. Thanks in advance for your advance.
How big is the air compressor you are using to power that tool @Alex Kaspi ?
"Great. Wonderful. SUPER COOL!" 😂
great video
Thanks!
For whatever reason, a lot of Acuras specify flushing the brake fluid in a counterintuitive order. For the 3G RDX, the service manual says the order is FL, FR, RR, RF. You don’t actually start with the brakes farthest from the reservoir.
Interesting thanks for sharing, I’ll have to see if I can get my hands on an official Sevice manual eventually.
Yeah, I thought it was strange too the first time I read it. If you google it, this is also the order for the last gen RDX, MDX, TLX, and some others. And it’s not just some guy online. There are pictures from the factory service manual showing this. I do as the FSM says, but I actually don’t know the logic here. It makes more sense to start with the corner that’s the farthest from the master cylinder.
How is turbo on these engines? Can it survive to 200k miles?
My friend has a 2020 RDX FWD. It has 46K miles. Should she start to think about a transmission fluid exchange and filter changed? Ever do that on yours? And if so do you have a video on you doing it? Thanks.
Typically at the dealership I worked at we would follow the Acura maintenance schedule and change transmission fluid around the 30k mile service. For the maintenance minder system this is the number 3. It most likely popped up but was reset.
I have not done it yet on my car I am only around 16k miles.
Hi great video, I would assume you are using required Honda brake fluid. I am contemplating buying an RDX but am leaning towards the Advance model because of the use of the low profile tires on the Aspect model.
I was not using factory fluid but just Prestone or whatever I picked up from Autozone that's good to use in Hondas/Acuras. I used to have unlimited access to such things but that was a lifetime ago! haha.
I love the advance model, the one feature I wish I had on this car was the heads-up display. Maybe I'll upgrade in the future! GL with your search.
I’m looking at getting a gen 3 RDX, probably the advance package. Are there any particular issues that I should be aware of prior to buying the car, anything this car is particularly known for? Also anything I should be aware of while inspecting and test driving it? Thanks!!!
Well people have reported transmission issues, Acura has acknowledged these things, so I would test drive and verify it shifts smooth. I do notice sometimes the revs will hang longer than I’d like but overall I just drive it in sport mode and it shifts fine for me.
Otherwise personally I noticed a brake squeal from the front brakes when the vehicle is cold. This typically will go away after 1min or so if normal driving. Acura had a service bulletin for this: Bulletin Number: B19-053
@@alexkaspi I just brought home a used (6500 mile) 2024 RDX Advance. I've been driving it in comfort mode because the transmission seems fairly aggressive with the shifts. To be honest, I don't know what it *SHOULD* be like to be worried. Can you describe what it would feel like if there is a problem?
Hello. I have the same rdx and the front camera is fogged up. I have a replace camera but can’t figure out how to remove the front emblem without braking it. Do you have any tips? Thanks.
Hey sorry for the late reply. Are you sure the camera is behind the emblem? I did some searching and it seems like the radar unit is behind the emblem and then camera is behind the windshield under plastic around the rear view mirror.

@@alexkaspi Hello thanks for the reply. It's the parking camera under the bumper badge that I am replacing.
Get the lift, brother. It’ll change your life, and let you park another car in there!
Im planning on it for sure 👍
