  • THE GJØA EXPEDITION (1903-1906)
Roald Amundsen’s expedition with the Gjøa was the first to navigate the Northwest Passage north of the Canadian mainland on one expedition and one ship. In 1903-06 Amundsen accomplished this with six companions. Two years were spent on the way in Gjoa Haven when the then-location of the North Magnetic Pole was established, proving that the Magnetic Pole moves over time.

Would have been much improved without the music as it was very difficult to hear the narrator over the music.

This video was ruined by the music, if you can call it music. Difficult to understand the commentary. A very stupid thing to do.

The most important man taht Norway has had in its history? Dr. Cook discovered that eating raw meat cures scurvy when the Belgica; Later he went to jail for having said that he was who first arrived at the North Pole and Amundsen went to visit him in jail when he went to the United States: they did not forgive Amundsen but Amundsen remained like a gentleman

To be accurate, the Inuit knew all along that a high meat diet prevents scurvy, although they didn't know why.

Horrible edition! Music to high and explanations and subtitles to fast. If you wanna have a headhache watch it until the end.
After reading some old comments, I can see that The Fram Museum doesn't give a shit about the bad quality of this video. Congratulations!

It was filmed in the same studios of the ' moon landings '. Hollywood has changed history with their fictional work.
