Half And Jai this is just what NF does to real people. I tell everybody I know who might be struggling with something about NF. And that’s everybody at some point. Sometimes I just text them “NF”. Most people don’t want to be given advice so I just let them discover on their own. I know that because I’m the same way. Listening to NF changed my perspective. Changed my life. Helped me quit an addiction. Helped me become accountable to myself. Helped me get moving forward and upward again. He’s special.
Never apologize. This is more then just music. Even to Nate. He isn't just making a song about being depressed. He's literally sharing his entire heart in a way that saves lives. I have heard so many fans of Nate say this song brought them through so much darkness and let them know they are not alone. He reminds us to keep going. Whenever someone hates on NF, this is the part they're missing. The connection that happens when people can empathize with each other across age, racial, religious, gender boundaries through music......that's real.

Nate has helped me through some hard dark times. He has touched me in so many ways. His music is a therapy for me. If im feeling depressed, angry, stressed his music gets me through it. His music helps me not by cheering me up but by helping me relate to it. They'll be times were i go to my room, close the door yell and throw things while listening to his music because its so powerful. Nate has saved my life.

I've broken down to several of his songs. Especially when watching reaction channels and seeing how his music affects others. I'd be concerned for a person that didnt get emotional. I've suffered from depression most my life and for a while I felt like I had such a control on it, then I let my guard down and didn't have the willpower to fight back the demons that flooded in. This song hits so close to home to the thoughts that I had and have. I remember at one point expressing to my older brother that I had felt like I was chained to the floor by my neck, feet and hands, in a pitch black cell, and the only light I could see was far above my head. He told me that there was so much darkness in my mind, that came from the pain I felt, it blinded me from seeing the keys to my chains right in front of me or the staircase that led to the light above me. As the song "A Change Gonna Come" says, "It's been too hard living, but I'm afraid to die."
And, don't apologize. The fastest way to freedom is to feel your feelings.

Jai, you sweet sweet soul. I feel you...💯! It’s been so long ago that I don’t even remember when I shut down, but I literally felt I had to for my own self preservation. There is so much trauma and pain from my past. Especially my childhood that I decided many years ago that I had to leave it there to be able to move on or I’d just feel sorry for myself. I’ve never wanted to talk about anything because in my mind it makes it real all over again. I can’t cry, show emotion, or affection and because of that I’m perceived as cold and disconnected by others. In reality it’s just that it’s too uncomfortable for me, but I can put NF on while I’m by myself and all of those tears and emotion POUR out! In the weirdest way it feels so good. I just came across you guys today and girl just seeing your genuine reaction has had that same affect on me. I am literally crying with you. Idk what you’ve been through but for whatever reason I get it. I should also clarify for others that while this is how I have personally dealt with my own pain, I am not suggesting it’s the correct way to deal with it. Everybody has a story and by no means do I consider one’s hurt or pain worse than another’s. I don’t even leave comments and I think I just wrote a monologue lol. I just wanted to convey to you Jai, that if you’ve touched my cold ass heart in this way I can only imagine how many others you are reaching. God bless you girl! I almost wanna call you “cousin” lol. I solely created a channel on TH-cam so I could comment on this video. NF has helped me in ways I never thought possible just through his music. Paralyzed and wake up are two songs I choose not to listen to, not because I don’t like them, but because of the emotion it brings me with how much I connect to them. Love your guys channel, and very glad I decided to watch, none of us are alone, the community and genuine people brought together from his music is incredible and worth so much more than any award or dollar amount he could ever get!

I feel this that song is so deep in as much as I been through as well I have been abused I've been beat I've been used I've been not loved but through it all when I listen to these type of songs it motivates me to get through this thing called life Because if you let it life can cause you to take your own life and we all know that's not wat God our heavenly father wants we are human and we all have feelings and we all hurt day in and day out to whom ever is listening or reading this I love you all to the whole world we are one great big happy family that should respect and love each other not hurt one another or put each other down because you never know wat that one person you're putting down have been through in their life also to set the record straight from my end I've changed my life 5 years ago and I'm into church more than I've ever been in my life I just recently received a call to be in the priesthood leadership of my church and it's helping me a lot I really thank God for my Downs in life because without my Downs I don't think I would've ever been the man I am today again I love y'all half and Jai I definitely love you to y'all are very passionate people with such motivating ways about yourselves and I feed off of y'all energy daily that's why I think y'all are the best on here keep it up much love again to everyone and peace stay humble

I (thankfully) found NF when I was in high school and to this I cannot express how this amazing soul saved me, along with so many people. In many ways how making music is therapy for NF, his music is therapy for others in ways that are sometimes too difficult to put into words. I listen to his music when I just need my emotions to go through their course and flow, no holding back just letting everything out.

I don't think I've ever seen a reaction that didn't have any thumbs down. That shows that there are hundreds, maybe thousands of people who can relate to Nate on so many levels. I remember the time hearing How Could You Leave Us and was crying by the end. I can't remember a song ever making me cry. But I went through a similar situation so probably hit me harder than some.
