A man who found notes on a guitar that nobody else could find one of the most extraordinary guitars ever. RIP JEFF😪🎸✌️
Jeff beck was a fantastic man
@@RobertKetteringham Absolutely
I have a strat but those notes does not exist on my guitar.(guitar on the picture was sold and changed with a Gibson 1 year after that I got it in 1987)
@xerxesgunes I've seen him several times and loved it when he's in these small clubs and sit up close and just watch him play I live in san francisco
@@jeffmusgrave2458 You are lucky he never came in Turkey. I saw only Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page on stage from Yarbirds guitarists
I've been listening to Jeff beck for 40 years I think this is his best Thank you Jeff Beck
I started young at 15 that was 1969. As a drummer and somewhat of a guitar player now. Loved his style. Amazing. I only would try playing drums to his music. I have limited ability on guitar.lol
This show has been in prime rotation for me for 24 years (and of course JB Live with the JHG). A constellation of absolutely killer line-ups in his career....but this one could be an apex. One thing for certain Jeff is at the absolute top of his game here and makes a great GOAT case....farewell Dear Jeff and thank you so much!
The amazing Jeff Beck. He can do anything - even make a Beatles song sound good!
I could listen for days to Jeff Beck ... I wouldn’t know any other guitar player who could connect me that way ... if I think how many different versions he played „a day in a life“, each version I know is just ... fantastic
Tommy Emmanuel next.
You just couldn’t categorize the God given genius of Jeff Beck.
He was and is in a class of guitarist and musician by himself because he IS that category....alone.
And Jeff always surrounded himself with world class musicians who could help him realize the intangible....music.
This is a case where mere words fail to describe musical talent, heart and soul.
Rest In Peace Jeff Beck.
Your playing taught us to be better listeners.🕊🎸
Jeff Beck is one crazy SOB, saw one of his concerts long go and loved every min. While all the others seem to fade away Beck keeps on going. And seems to get better and better.
I wish I could play the Guitar half as good as he can and I'd be happy with that.
Jennifer Batten does not get enough credit for her virtuosity! To be able to hang with and perfectly complement Jeff Beck is something very very few guitarists could pull off, and she did it brilliantly!
Jennifer Batten had a rigorous training and that is why she could pay so brilliantly, and complimented all in this stupendous band with Jeff Beck, Steve Alexander and Randy Hope Davies!! Yipeeee! Cynthia Allen-McLaglen
This is not true, why do people always say this bullshit about their "underdogs"? She does get all the credit for her career, only the cream of the crop played for MJ or JB, let alone both. Thank God she didn't play for that douchebag Ozzy. But you just can't expect anyone to get exactly the same credit when the stage owner is Jeff Beck.
Rest in peace. The world is a lesser place today due to Jeff's passing.
4 top musicians on stage and Jeff is the charismatic leader... he knows how to use the whammy bar of his stratocaster! Inspiring!
Hey Im an abstract artist and Beck makes me dream. He just takes me away. SO much depth and feeling. I saw him in NY a few years ago- I could not stop visualizing abstract shapes!
Един от най-великите китаристи! The Best!!
Pure music, Pure tonality, Pure Soul, Pure Beck!!! Thank you Mr. Beck...Much respect!!!
Wow fantastique performance de scène merci j'adore Jeff Beck
This man never gets any mention, when it comes to guitar greats. he is the best
What a great performance. All top notch players. Thanks for posting! I had a Beck tape when I was young and tossed it. Now, at 44, I hear stuff he does that has influenced so many people. Good stuff.
I saw Jeff on this tour and at first we were all saying "Who is that woman
playing with him?". After a minute we realized it was Jennifer Batten! If you
look at all the other players that came out of the 60's that are still playing
Jeff Beck stands alone if only for his uncompromising standards and
top-notch musicianmanship. His take on the blues remains fresh, inventive
and vital.
This is the best recording of this incarnation that I've heard. I can really hear what Jeff's doing as well as Jennifer.
Beck is just off the charts! The greatest of the Guitar Gods including Page, Clapton, and Hendrix, much as I love them all.
Yes, but Jimi also was Amazing!
@@Iracord Jimmy, Jimi, Jerry, Jorma, Mr. Johnson and JEFF! The best are about the Js!!!!
@@muzic3977 dJango, John McLaughlin, Joe Pass, Joe Diorio, Jennifer Batten, Jan Hammer, Jedi van Halen, Jallan Holdsworth, Jommy Emmanuel, Jagovia, Jaco de Lucia, Jaco Pastorius, Jack Cassidy, ...
Jerry G & Jorma? I like Jorma acoustic but tone was thin electric. JG all sounds same...
Just saw Mr Johnson in B Hills. Had sound probs, but Love!
Jeff Beck - изумительный гитарист, вся его команда - просто блеск !!
Покойся с миром, великий Jeff Beck... (!)
There will always be only one Jeff Beck. No one can replace him.
I've always focused on Clapton mostly, but this concert from Mr. Beck: WOW!
It's hard to say which incarnation of Jeff Beck's evolution as a musician was his best, but this one is pretty damn good. Rock In Peace -
Straordinario STRAORDINARIO,STRAORDINARIO!!!Uno dei migliori chitarristi di tutti tempi🎸🎸👍👏🏻🎸
Beck gets more sounds out of the guitar with just his hands than any other player, and if that wasn't bad enough, he has the creative musical imagination to use those sounds in a musical way. The only other people in hailing distance of him are Satriani and Vai. Other people, Paul Gilbert for example, are great at other things, but Beck is in a class by himself as a pure expressive player.
you forgot Eric Johnson
Heard.. The. Very. Of. Them.. But. Jeff. Beck. Really.. Stands.. Out. Man. He is. Something... Else
Due respect..love those other guys...but they have never been on this dude's level..ever ..he can reach down deep into the guts of a guitar and snatch the soul out of the wood and twist it into tones like nobody ever and with a technique none can even approach and few can even comprehend...Jennifer knows and she's a technicians technician and she loved those years to learn from the best.
Both of them are amazing, and GOD-like together!
ILooking back I think this is one of the best bands he ever had.He always has great players but it's the ones that seem to push him to play great.I saw this incarnation twice.Jennifer Batten was amazing covering all the keyboards and second guitar.I do remember the crowd went crazy for this stuff.
tubular I couldn’t agree more I also think that this was one of the best lineups he ever had and I think that he was at his best. I saw him I’m Virginia a few years ago and he was great but not nearly as good as this performance of course after all he was in his 70’s when I saw him and I surely don’t hold it against him, I would go see him tomorrow if he were in town . And yes Jennifer is awesome.
He was touring one of his mos' interestin' experimental albums of his career (Who Else?), and it sounds like this band does the material more than justice.
Agreed!!
Well I'm not great technisist but I'm having a blast Jamming to these greats they Jam on like I just fit there, I hope you can doooooodle2
Hard to believe he was 55 years old at this time. He seems to never change
WOW- thanks for posting this!! Great sound. I saw this tour- incredible playing all around. LOVE Jen and the bass!
I've seen every group Beck was in since The Yardbirds, and i must say this might very well have been his best.I remember seeing him at the Hammersmith Odeon in London with Simon Phillips and Hymas on the keys and thinking he's never going top this band.I saw him with Terry Bozzio and thought OMG,and i've seem him with Jan Hammer, with Tal And Vinny Coliuta and different settings such as his rockabilly and Les Paul dabblings. But this band was absolutely magical, him and Jennifer had a chemistry that was incredible and this rythym section was rock solid. This concert shows what this man is all about, a sheer musical genius,he does not just play the guitar,he is THE GUITAR!!!

I don't cry when famous people die. I had a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes for months after Jeff Beck passed away.
What a great artist in every possible way.
Dont cry dear he)s up above jammin with Jimi livin the life
I still have that lump , it's there for Ed , and Stevie Ray also , I hope it goes away some day, and I hope they all rest well 🙏
Stevie Ray, David Bowie, Tom Petty, and now Jeff Beck. At least I saw Zappa when none of my friends wanted to go, but I missed these four.

and it breaks my heart that he is gone. Met him many years ago.
two great guitar players.
Jennifer Batten (born November 29, 1957) is an American guitarist who has worked as a session musician and solo artist.[1] From 1987 to 1997, she played on all three of Michael Jackson's world tours, and from 1999 to 2001, she toured and recorded with Jeff Beck.
thanks for uploading!
Caught this lineup at LBC Santa Rosa in Feb 99' ...gave JB a Jokers Bay Area tee which he then became a remote member- we're close mutual friends with Roy who opened that one up- one of the top touring collaboration in my ears and eyes- The Jennifer / Steve / Randy section at the time were superb ! Tea n Crumpets on the front lawn at 4-
Excellent!
Genius of a guitar virtuoso has such command over Guitar! He showed the infinite possibilities...expanded the guitar playing canvas. Although extremely proficient technically he never fell for gimmicks and his notes are so soulful full of emotions, sweetness, melody. Makes me cry.
While listening to this I was curious where Beck stood on Rolling Stone magazine's top 100. No. 5. Not high enough.
+anynamewilldo808 Agreed
I think he's the best at this style of play he's turning knobs, bending strings,WITH fingers and hand, and juggling slide, and don't forget the band who makes everything, sound so much better. my personal favorite
fukk the rolling stone top 100! really man.
1. Hendrix 2.Beck case closed.

He was a brilliant interpreter of the blues. With Jimmy Hall singing ! If I were a diving duck and the River was whiskey…
John Lennon would be proud to hear this rendition of A Day in the Life 27:30 - 36:14 Damn Good.
This is awesome. Thanks for the upload!
touches everything
couple days late, but happy 68th Jeff. You continue to age like a fine bordeaux, still the best git player on the planet imo.
The master in action! All other guitarist need to just sit down... he IS THE MAN! :)
Thanks from a fan since 70
If viewers are interested in seeing the cars jeff beck has built look the tv show with barry meguies car crazy with jeff beck all the questions will be answered enjoy
Yep
Jeff still amazing at 74 great guitarist and i enjoyed this vid of his tokyo gig.
I always hate this idea of saying a certain player is the best because there are many different styles and whatnot, but Beck seems to do more with an electric guitar then just about anybody. He does it across many styles, he just doesn't limit himself to one style. He never rests on what he's done, he's always pushing further with the instrument. It would be interesting to see if Hendrix was doing similar things if he were still around.
Can't thank You enough for this. Priceless. :)
I love Jeff Beck Jimi Hendrix is my all time favorite. But Stanley Jordan, Allan Holdsworth, Jeff Beck and John McLaughlin are my other favorites.
mrscox27 Hey I had never heard Stanley Jordan before - thanks for your post. Maybe I can return the favor: Steve Morse (Dixie Dregs) , Issei Noro (Casiopea) , Jan Akkerman, Ollie Halsall (Patto), Allen Hinds, Jerry Garcia & David Grisman, Kazumi Watanabe - rock on!
Thank you very much also check out Tony Mcalpine
Dan A Stanley Jordan is good times.
Stanley does an incredible version of "Stairway," using two guitars; playing Page's lead on one and Plants vocals on another. Most every note is tapped, as clearly as played by a Steinway piano
Today we lost Jeff, RIP you magnificent one of one ....
Who can put a thumbs down on this?
Fabulosooooooo!!! Divertido, loco,Creativo, profundo....
Me encanta!!!❤️
She’s probably the best female guitarist ever , not trying to start an argument. If there’s a better one I haven’t heard her yet. Not to mention Randy on bass and Steve on drums 2 of the best . I know a lot of people will disagree and I don’t really care when all is said and done they can hang with anybody !
Thanks!
good god i love jeff beck playing guitar
Wow!! yep, JB is a big influence of mine!!
The King and The Queen of Guitarre
The three of them staked out and conquered different styles of play, so it is a matter of taste......
Clapton is very blues-based,
Page straddles blues and avant garde
Beck is very avant garde.
hi after awhile musicians think special effects suck
048:31 Reminds me of BECK Headlining over original Lynrd Skyryd at Vince McMahon's Cape Cod Coliseum. Jan Hmmer AND THE KING OF STRAT'S (JEFF)
kicked ASS
~wow~ this is consciousness expansion music~! very sonic alienesque chemistry- i luv the 1st 4 pieces- and several passages throughout the entire concert

何て素晴らしい!!
Beck is king of the whammy bar!
it keeps starting on mine...
The Master.
Thanks for posting, I really like this concert, and think the band is fine! Agree that the 2007 Ronnie Scott show is excellent also, I'm a big fan of Vinnie and Tal. As someone asked previously, is this Japan concert available in North America as a DVD or Blu-ray? :)
and no words are sung
This is great!
Awesome performance!
No woman is hotter that a tall thin blond who can play the hook to "Blue Wind" and then turn around an improvise on it herself. Dayum!
The best!
Blue Wind and Big Block !!!!!!!
Jennifer is cool. Nice to see her with Beck.
Jeff's playing is not about petals, special effects and/.or amps. it's all about what Jeff does with his hands, his sound is from what he does with his hands and the sounds that come out of them, amazing!
Switches to a Tele at 59:15. That wonderful 70's Jeff Beck tone.
Jeff Beck is a supremo guitarist with a myriad of styles and has stayed relevent for as long as the Yardbirds. Man what a ride!
about playlist, i talk as ignorant on tracks but i think that it should be THX 1138
