That's probably the coolest thing I've seen in a while Bjarne. Little sapling growing up in the middle of the tree🤔. Keep those cedar toboggans going down hill brother 👍. Be good
My DaD was the greatest tree man that I have known, may he rest in peace. Bjarne, I can say you are a fine forester or logger, not sure what your title is, however, that I have seen on TH-cam. If our president here in the United States would help the foresters, loggers, and, arborists, to be able to clean out the deadwood, our forests would be beautiful again. It makes a great difference, in the United States, there would be no more forest fires. I miss my father greatly, it was awesome to watch you. You did a great job taking down some huge trees. Your job is a very dangerous job, yet a necessary one. Some of these people are not well informed, they don't understand, that this needs to be done. That lumber was used for many things after you cut that lumber down. I really just don't understand, it is better to use this wood than, it would be to use plastic or some other chemicals that they make for real wood products. I don't wanna get on a tangent here, it was amazing watching you, I miss my DaD that's for sure. I love the sound of a chainsaw, I love the smell of the wood, and leather, left on the boots when the man comes home from a hard day's work well done. Glad My Husband Tom found you, he has a degree in Forestry, his nickname is tree.

Mr. Raven remembers his friend that fed him, Bjarne. 😉👍 What's the worst season for the bugs, Bjarne?..Do you use Deet?..A steady breeze helps. They eat me alive!😩 The video quality is much improved...it's always an adventure to watch. 👍
Awesome video as per usual Bjarne. I have a question. How long do you on average run a saw before it becomes clapped out. Do you ever rebuild them or just replace. Thanks
I’m down to 2 390, 2 572 and 1 372. I don’t keep track of days on a saw and I rotate saws randomly throughout the year so don’t really know how long they last. I’d guesstimate about a year max, worth of run time before the main bearings go. I used to rebuild but now I don’t bother and just buy a new saw. Also it looks more professional having a newer looking saw compared to showing up to camp with old bear up looking saws even if they run great.
Thanks Bjarne. That makes sense to have a good rotation of saws in your profession for sure. Also your comment about new equipment at a job site is pretty understandable
Im 3rd Bjame trees inside trees that should be two for one cedars are funny they can grow right out of a stump ot another tree there are a few nice trees up at the top of the block. That was a bit of a mess at 35;10 three trees and rot I would wont a safe place to run good job falling that mess well keep your head up and work safe and thanks for the great video
This looks like the coolest job ever. Might be a dumb question, but what is the purpose of the tree cutting you guys are doing? Just hauling timber out for milling?
Hi bjarne how did you go with my purchase on your merch shop? you haven't got back to me i lost au$250 and was hoping you might have had an explanation for this from your side so we might have had an understanding of what happened Regards rob
Good job Bjarne. 🙌🙌 I understand why you do what you do. It's all for the best. See you next time 👍
Hey B I like the way you cut your stumps, and start your notch. Good job!
You hit a home run with this episode. Simply outstanding. You have great skills.
Great One Bjarnie!
Cedars are some of the strangest trees and by what I've been told some of the oldest among the Conifers.
Stay Safe my friend.

Watching you do those big blind face cuts is truly amazing.
Always amazes me you know exactly we’re the tip is on those plunge cuts to finish your notches. Awesome
Awesome episode Bjarne! Always a blast to watch, start to finish.

Thanks for watching. That’s a cool nickname. Where did your Dad work? In the US we’re called Fellers, in Canada we’re called Fallers.

Hi Rusty thanks for watching. The hottest part of summer is the worst. Also depends on location. Some areas are brutal, Blackflys are the worst
This guy's my HERO. Talented and entertaining. Damn, he's good. Sawdustbob r2t2 Merritt
You get a new camera. Picture quality, & audio seem much improved over your recent videos. Good video, good watch.

Those hemlock like to grow on wood. In my area it seems every fir and cedar stump has a hemlock growing on it.
8 trees in 34 minutes. Not bad.😎
Hey Bjarne great job,. Watching you cut sure brings back some good memories! Was wondering how close you live to Washington?
I live on Vancouver island
@@BjarneButler oh ok, so pretty close, lol
@@BjarneButler I am about 150 miles south of Seattle!👍
Just wonder what saw you use and size of bar do you use a square or round cut on chain
In this video I was using a 572, 36” bar, 3/8 .058 chain, round file
Very good
Dang Dude . Perfecto
Very cool
Have you used the new 592 yet?
Not yet. It’s getting hopped up at the saw shop
This looks like the coolest job ever. Might be a dumb question, but what is the purpose of the tree cutting you guys are doing? Just hauling timber out for milling?
Yup
Awsome video. Quick question. What is that setup for your falling ax on your belt? Way slicker than my setup
It’s homemade. I have another video titled “belt and axe” that shows my setup
@@BjarneButler thanks much. I'll look into it
Good day mate. Love your videos.
Just a question are all your saws ported? What's your go to saw you love using? 👍
Yes all saws except one of my 390’s. for small wood I use the 572 and big wood I use the 390 and soon I’ll have a 592
Video was cool. Enjoyed that. Taking me back.
What species are they going back with? More cedar? or Doug fir maybe?
My bet is they’ll replant with cedar
@@BjarneButler Yeah, makes the most sense I guess...
How many trees do you have to cut down a day ?
Depends on size of trees, bucking requirements, terrain, amount of saplings and brush etc.
This was amazing to get to watch. Just wondering how they calculate your pay for this dangerous and difficult work.
It’s day rate. Pay depends on experience/production level, camp or town work and company
Asik nonton iklan masuk dan saya sangat B E N C I !!!
Tolong Lazada dan pembersih hp , terlaĺu sering masuk dan sangat menganggu !
And that is why you get PAID the big $ 😳
Not everyone gets paid what they are worth. Let's hope so in this case.
What length is that bar?
36”
Any issues running that 36 on the 572?
25:00 was almost a perfect tree.

Hope u find a vein of 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
You have to invite yourself to go on a felling spree with August Hunicke, Buckin Ray Billy or Reon Rounds
This would be legendary
Maybe give Guilty of Treeson a hand as well

Is that your new saw?
Nop
I know people like the felling, show a little bucking and the limming.
This job was just dumping. Wood was small enough to go through the processor, landing bucking will get the oversized
@@BjarneButler That's so much different than the rest of the world 🌎
Hello hello
We’ll hello there

I wonder how much this job pays?
Looks like a fresh den on the back cut. Spooky……

How often do you see a tree growing inside another? What weird stuff? Jimmy Hoffa? Sawdustbob
Usually it’s only when a tree has a rotten hole but even then it’s not very often
