This is the first vid I've been able to watch since Ed passed. Feeling mixed emotions. Absolute sadness knowing cognitively that Ed is no longer with us. But I'll be damned if I didn't manage to forget once or twice hearing the boys break down some JRJR gold. It made me realise that, in a way, Ed is still with us through these vids. His spirit lives on. I'm so thankful that he was so gracious in sharing his knowledge and passion for the comic medium. And I'm so thankful that Jim is continuing to share these videos with us. Hope you're doing alright, Jim. I imagine this is an incredibly difficult time for you, but I hope you're surrounded by supportive friends and family, and that you know there's a whole community around the world that are sending you love and support. Read more comics, folks. PS I'm with you on this, Jimmy - the ice pop torture switcharoo works perfectly.
My heart still hurts. Miss you Ed. Still dumbfounded you took a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Thank you Jim for keeping this going. May all the pain wash away in time brother
There’s a Wizard with Chuck Dixon, it may have already been reviewed, but he has stated that whenever JRJR gave him a page, he only had to use half the dialogue he had written due to the solid storytelling.
So grateful this train is still in route… it’s heartbreaking to hear Ed’s voice with so much knowledge, passion and charm discuss and breakdown JR JR. I still cannot believe he has left…. So unbelievable… Thanks Jim for keeping the train on the tracks… so very much…. Only found you guys a month ago… love and peace… forever
One of my all time favorite Punisher books and favorite JRjr works. Thank you for taking a look at this. God bless you Jimmy. RIP Eddie P. Prayers to all his family and friends.
No cap breh, I think what I'll miss the most is honestly the Shoot interviews. Boy howdy does this suck. Once again prayers to the family Piskor, prayers to Jim and his family, the Scioli family. R.I.P. Ed. Sundays and Mon-Sat aren't gonna be the same. SIGH!!! Many blessings!!!
Fuck man, this is gonna be tough for awhile. Thanks Jim for the uploads, we all appreciate it. Hope you're doing okay brother. Still thinking of Ed's family, too. Must be brutal. I had this issue signed by the man himself a couple years ago....badass. 💀
I picked this up off a newsstand, I’m sure, because I wasn’t going to the comic shops yet (and I’m not sure I knew they existed). Long Live Cartoonist Kayfabe.
This is exactly the type of video that made me a fan of this channel. Two guys who know what they’re talking about, going over a comic from my childhood that most would probably just dismiss. Much love, Jim. Can’t imagine what you’re going through.
Love JrJr punisher. The best punisher in the industry. I'm glad Ed and Jim did one more punisher issue before Ed's passing. He's my favorite character and they are my favorite narrators.
Another great conversation, breaking everything down and still enjoying the book. Kayfabe forever!! There will never be a better tag team than Ed & Jim!
Till this day I enjoy JRJR art ! I don’t care about the hate or cartoony look he does , for some reason I actually enjoy it me it works for me , maybe because he was one of the few artists I enjoyed when I started collecting comics. Thanks for posting this video… it’s kind of bittersweet ..
I am on board with Jimmy, I collected comics during this era and I always thought JRJR was same quality of art as any of the Image guys. As time has gone on, his art has stuck with me more also, as the Image guys' quality of work went down, JRJR's stayed consistent. I put JRJR in the same category as George Perez, just amazing, super solid dude that can draw anything.
Ed talks about Noriega being in the news. How old could Ed have been in the 80's.. but only age 6. I'm Gen X and I barely remember. So off-handly knowledged in many interests. What a loss and my condolences. You are remembered well, Ed. Thanks Jim for keeping the memory afloat for as long as you can. It must be difficult. Sorry, again.
"You're a fan boy. Don't confuse yourself into being an artist, a creative. Because we are two sides of a river." WELL SAID Ed Piskor! As an artist, I admire John Romita Jr.'s artwork, always have, and I am so glad Ed Piskor put it best. Miss Ed Piskor putting things into perspective.
Losing ed was losing 40 something years of life history that's no joke that's a lot of history and mammaries for some people...all of those years learning how to draw and all of those light nights staying up drawing ..we lost a lot of comic knowledge with Ed's passing.
Loved JRJR back in the day, but couldn't stand Stroman. Hm. I must be halfway in the middle of the river 😅 As always, I love this video. Love you guys.
My heart breaks whenever Ed mentions his upcoming art exhibition 😢

Agreed….😢
Dumbfounded is right

Still my favorite TH-cam channel! Thank you again for posting these episodes, Jim. Ed is greatly missed. CK from now until forever!
Ed was doing gorgeous work on SBS
I hope we get to see it in print!🤘
One of my all time favorite Punisher books and favorite JRjr works. Thank you for taking a look at this. God bless you Jimmy. RIP Eddie P. Prayers to all his family and friends.
Love that cover ! Still on the hunt for it. Love you Ed and Jim. Rest in peace Eddie P. Thank you Jim.
Just finished the previous episode... now onto this one. Thanks Jim. and ED. R.I.Pages
The thought of castle gunning someone down for stealing some candy is hilarious 😭 we miss you Ed
I don't want this to be over...
Janson's inks are always a treat. His work is magic.

I knew it. Klaus Janson inker. He's got a very cool style that adds to the og art.
This is exactly the type of video that made me a fan of this channel. Two guys who know what they’re talking about, going over a comic from my childhood that most would probably just dismiss. Much love, Jim. Can’t imagine what you’re going through.
I really loved the slightly cartoony style JRJR used on Star Brand, sort of had a Michael Golden vibe.
Love JrJr punisher. The best punisher in the industry. I'm glad Ed and Jim did one more punisher issue before Ed's passing. He's my favorite character and they are my favorite narrators.
Stephen Platt was taking notes on this cover
All those bullet casings
Oh yeah, casings flying every whichway.
Ed's gone ,the ending of cartoonist kayfabe is imminent, can't believe this is how it ends life ain't fair
Make mine Cartoonist Kayfabe! Underrated comic for sure! Enjoyed the JR run and the cover by John Herbert on number 40 is fucking awesome!
This is the best Punisher.
Hits hard watching now, but ao thankful for these being posted. Love this conic JRJR and Frank are a perfect combo
The shadowed image of Punisher that Ed highlights right before the break has a real Eduardo Risso flavor.
Oh yeah man it really has a 100 Bullets vibe to it you’re right
Chuck Dixon and JR jr incredible work, loved the ark
Damn, I still miss him.
Thank you.
Thank you Jim for uploading the videos. I still can't believe Ed is gone, but you both got me back into comics. I hope you continue Kayfabe.
Thanks Jim, rest in peace Ed
One of the first books I owned. I counted the shells on the cover as a kid, its a hundred.
Another great conversation, breaking everything down and still enjoying the book. Kayfabe forever!! There will never be a better tag team than Ed & Jim!
I remember picking this up - man what a blast looking back with this great deep-dive! Thanks Jim for posting - RIP Ed ❤
Favourite youtube channel for life 🌊🌊🌊
I've got some of this run that I have not read since the nineties, I'll have to go back and revisit them after watching this.
I’m kind of struggling because the vids keep dropping. Feels like a surreal dream.
I totally had this comic.. such a nostalgia blast..fire presentation
Much appreciated, thank you. This one's a jem, Jim.
Wish ed woulda had a chance to ask Klaus or JRJR his questions bout this ish 🧢🕶️ 💭
My punisher

As a kid I hated this JRJR cover in addition to the Cable cover. This channel helped me appreciate his work as I got older.
I may be remembering wrong, but I remember getting this issue at grocery store or maybe my local Thriffty's.

Always assumed the Punisher came out of the Executioner series, the Equalizer TV series. More Donald Hamilton than Travis Mcgee
Coincidently, I picked up a 2003 reprint of this book today out of a dollar bin.
Love the channel.
I hope to make it through this. Still very upset about Ed. Be well Jim . ❤
Peak JRJR
Haha, Ed had such bug up his butt about Jim Lee
I wish I was a fan before we lost Ed. He was really awesome.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed get back to us man Cartoonist will never be the same without you

I HATED JRJR's stuff on the X-Men when I was a teen, but I do appreciate his storytelling these days. His Daredevil stuff is great!
It's a little like seeing JRJR for the first time.
Never liked his style but watching the paneling unfold is really impressive.
Wondering how many episodes they pre-recorded...
Loved JRJR back in the day, but couldn't stand Stroman. Hm. I must be halfway in the middle of the river 😅 As always, I love this video. Love you guys.
🖤
1992 ? I thought this comic came out a little earlier like 1989 I'm surprised to hear that.
❤
Don't talk about Frank's ponytail. He's going through some stuff.
Man the art in this issue was awesome.
👍
🤘🤘🤘
So this is just a joke that Ed died right? I don’t get it!
❤
