- I came back to Tokyo after my trip from Kyoto, and I heard about this amazing All You Can Eat Shabu Shabu in Shibuya. So I had to go try it, and I'm glad I did because this is one of the best Shabu Shabu places I've ever been to. They give you good quality meats. My most favorite was the pork, you gotta try it!

My best friend and I went there in July 💕 it was the best meat (both pork and beef wise) we ever ate. We also went for sukiyaki but did kimchi as a second soup base. The sukiyaki was AMAZING! But we dipped the boiling hot meat into the egg, after mixing it up. This was heaven!!! But your pouched egg looked also amazing and delicious. Best meal in Japan (except for Coco Curry = Soul food and a Ramen place near Meiji-shrine)

Dip the sukiyaki into the egg next time. Creamy yolk neutralize the salty soy sauce, and cools down whatever you take out from the pot. If raw eggs doesnt gross you out.

Zokkon電子 raw eggs shouldn’t be that scary. I get the fear of salmonella but it’s ok if the egg is clean and raw egg actually tastes alright
Eggs in Japan dont have salmonella so no reason to be afraid of it in Japan. In fact in Japan chickens must be housed in very clean open environments so there is no little to no chance for disease.
I know it’s safe to eat but I just can’t stomach the flavour and texture. I don’t even like half-boiled eggs

I went to that restaurant in late September. It was a good place for Japanese hotpot and value is good. Not expensive and for the Chinese who doesn't speak Japanese like me, they have some Chinese speaking waiters/waitresses there to help. Great service and good food.

Hey Mike.. great video! For Sukiyaki, you can try cooking then dipping the meat in raw egg before eating it. It's awesome. (Japanese eggs are safe to be eaten raw).

Just an FYI: Boston butt, or pork butt, is the American name for a cut of pork that comes from the upper part of the shoulder from the front leg and may contain the blade bone. Boston butt is the most common cut used for pulled pork.

I've been there before, BEST Shabu Shabu AYCE that I ever went to. I think we had like 30+ trays of meat for our family of 8. Meat just melts in your mouth. Ugh I miss Japan 😭

It's very safe to eat raw eggs in Japan (very strict quality control) and you should try eating sukiyaki in a traditional way when you're there.
I'm originally from Japan but being away from that culture for a long time, sometimes I find myself in a very awkward/embarrassing situation.
And I just wanted Mikey to have the best experience he could. BTW, most people in Japan think Ichiran is a tourist trap!

Yep, "butt" is a name for a type of wooden cask, which is what they used to ship pork shoulders in.
