This adaptation of the "Stormy Weather" dance session to "Happy" is simply outstanding. These brothers were dancing geniuses and deserve to be remembered.
Love this! I've already shared it with family and friends. The song choice is a good one for the brilliantly talented Nicholas Brothers. I wish I could go back in time to meet them and watch them dance!
the original is the most glorious contemporary dance piece ever. have watched it without deviation too many times. still applaud at the end - its so magnificent. RIP greatness.
Thank-you Terry, I love the "Happy Song", in my water aerobics class for seniors we move faster when this is played(smile). I have always loved to see the Nicholas Brothers dance so this is a perfect marriage, I just wish they were alive to see this.
Nicholas brothers are the greatest dancers I have ever seen. This is really good, if you watch the original & some of their other performances they are amazing.
How about more of the Nicholas Brothers other dances to modern music? I discovered the Nicholas Brothers 2 weeks ago and was mesmerised by their talent. I am surprised that I have never seen clips of them on TV when great dancers and chorography are mentioned.
Haha haha tee hee hee hee! I smiled the entire time watching this. A perfect marriage of a song to the greatest dance performance of all time. Brilliantly done. Damn, those splits tho! My balls ached just watching them. Great job Terry! So entertaining.
Terry, I would have loved to been able to dance like that years ago, but we all will be dancing together in Heaven along side of the Nicholas Brothers.....great Job putting this video together!!
I absolutly love it!! those that say the video and the music does not match is either tone death or needs glasses. ( Everett Vann Eberhardt, J.D.). This was outstanding work and me and my husband cant stop watching it. I am a Soul line dance instructor and I dedicated this video to my whole Line Dance family across the country. #LOVINGIT!
William Washington Too bad that more of you don't realize that. You all have plenty to be proud of in your own race. Although, actually, American born blacks are of mixed race and have white genetics too. If you noticed, northern European white genetics mixed with black genetics make for super talent.
Terry Stubbs Thank you for this. I've watched it a few times and the choice of music goes well with the dance route. I am so surprised that the Nicholas Brothers are hardly mentioned when it comes to great dancers and choreography. I hear a lot about Fred Astaire being the best dancer of his era but he comes no where close to the dancing talent of the Nicholas Brothers. How about putting some more of the brothers dances to modern music?
+Augustus Blaire I believe it was in the MGM compilation movie of musicals called "That's Entertainment" that Fred Astaire introduced the above scene as “the greatest dance number ever filmed.” Famous ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov said, “Those guys are perfect examples of pure genius.”
@Terry Stubbs - During The Harlem Renaissance Era a Lot of Awesome Movies were made with Count Basie / Duke Ellington / Cab Calloway as featured in the beginning of this one - I just know that you could do Awesome things with some of those movies - I encourage you to Look them Up here on TH-cam and go for it. . . :-)
Great mashup. These go together on so many levels. Too bad there's no a Capella recording of just the tap so you could mix some of it in if you wanted. Perhaps some EQ filtering could let just the tap frequencies through, but you'd get some of the original music as well, which could ruin the whole effect when all is said and done. This was definitely fun to watch.
While BOTH brothers CAN Dance their hine parts off, idk WHY, or, WHAT it IS about Harold's style/method of dancing that "i", prefer watching most. I Dk IF it's because of his height, the movement of his body, etc's, etc's. I D K. He just hits the beat, notes, music, DIFFERENTLY than Fayard. As if, BORN, "To Do" THIS. Makes me Happy, to see them move!! ❤❤❤❤
I love both the NIcholas Brother's famous dance scene from Story Weather and Pharrell's song Happy. However, in my humble opinion, they don't belong together. Unlike the numerous other takes on Happy that I've seen, or other remakes of famous songs using video footage from different songs or movies, there is a disconnect between the steps being performed by the dancers and the beat of the song. Nevertheless, I like the idea and applaud the producer for his/her efforts.
I think it works. I think they match pretty darn well and if they are off a tad, you have to think in jazz, have to think artistic license, because the Nicholas Bros. WERE artists, and Pharrell's song is absolutely inspired and inspiring. Think you gotta let yourself get a little happy, Everett!! IMHO!

BRILLIANT.....these artists cannot be touched by todays dancers.

Doing what I can to make this go viral. Amazing!!!! Thank you for your brainstorm! Stroke of genius!!!!!!!!
What a way to start a morning. I am on my way to tap class, all I can do is think that I wish I could be this gifted. Muchas gracias!!!!!
There can only be one babe Ruth, or Bruce Lee. Or the Nicholas brothers. People like this come along only once in history.
Combining Pharrell with the Nicholas Brothers--It just doesn't get much better than that.
Absolutely amazing.
Oh I loved it. Goosebumps, clapping
, singing and dancing. That was awesome.
This is wonderful. I love those brothers.
Cool blend….I like much :) Thank you.

Amazing. Terry did a fantastic job of blending old style dancing with today's music.
I agree, amazing work, thank-you

Nothing beats the original “Jumpin Jive “ that goes with this unmatched dance routine.

If he said: “ tap along” I’d be more convinced.

Without the tap sound it’s just not the same.
Please look for the original without Pharell this one is an insult to to the tap the nicholas brothers in this Jumping jive.
