I live on La Palma. Whe are at the same longitud as the Sahara, but due to being an Island in the Atlantic we have a milder climate. High island with a steady brease we call "Vientos Alisios". Most of our forest is populated by pine trees who milk the humid winds that are brought from the coast bringing excess water to acuifers from which people live. Come visit us if you like, you can drive around the island in half a day an traverse more biomes than making kilometers somewhere on the mainland. :)
