My morning walk with our dog Highway. This is actually my 2nd trip this morning because I didnt bring my camera first round. But I just had to show you the beauty of it all and also just why I might be AWOL for a few days in the fall.

oh what a wonderful back yard, I so miss living in the country. Spent most of my life in the country. Growing up we had some wonderful black berries that grew by our swimming hole in the river, they were always so YUMMY! and a short drive away we had what we called "raspberry flats" where the wild raspberry's grew along a mountain road that went on for miles and miles. And of course can't forget about the wild huckle berries... oh those were so GOOD!
Hmmm never had Huckle berries. But anytime you want to come pick here, stop on by!

Oh how I miss this place! I can’t believe how many blackberry bushes there are, that’s crazy!!! We can’t wait to come back, to have a bonfire and of course to pick those delicious blackberries!! Thank you for taking us with you on your walk!! Hi Highway!!
PS you better start collecting containers for your roadside stand!!!
LOL I am collection containers, the ones from mushrooms will be a perfect size. Hey maybe you could come and help and then we could go spend the money thrifting!

Gosh Kim what an amazing Place , That hill could be my therapy side all I have to do Is walk 2 times a day, I bet it smelled wonderful when the apple trees were in bloom, that spot just before you way It needs a bench too. thank you for the tour.

Really beautiful, Kim! We have mulberries and oolalaberries in our yard. I’d rather pick mulberries any day… no thorns. I hope your sales go well! ❤
Yeah blackberries have tons of thorns for sure. I use one gloved hand to hold the bush while I pick. bucket hangs on my arm.

Kim, that is mind-blowing. It's kind of good you don't like the blackberries---otherwise it would eat into your profits!! I cannot fathom how much work that is. But you are totally right that we are blessed to live in such a glorious country & probably don't recognize it as much as we should. If your intention was doing a promo video to entice an Alberta visitor, it's working. lol
