Simple straightforward design and approach, salvage and low cost materials, same convenient tracking and belt-change lever as the $500+ sanders. Thanks for sharing! Props for casually turning your own drums and pulleys without breaking a sweat :)
Nice Just a point to make if the table lifted on cams up and down foot operated you could get more life out of the belts like a commercial sander would do oscillating Or yo could work out a gear system off the main motor to raise and lower the table slowly to do this but that would be complected this is more a straight forward build. sure wish I had a lathe and drill press I can't even start to make one like that. I guess crafting somthing new is using what you have to make new stuff you don't have yet. Its one thing to invent the wheel, but without the cart its just a round toy. Add a horse and it quickly becomes a work horse able to do a lot more work faster with less less labor involved. Add bearings to the wheels it last longer and pulls more weight and the horse won't get as tired as fast. Don't work your horse to hard he will live a long time, make sure you clean him up and feed him to keep him in top shape. Honestly nothings changed but we get more done.
Great job and simple to build, I'm planing to do one for my self, I only have one issue to ask for. The shaft of the idle roller is alway spinig into the grove right?, do this affect wearing the grove? Sorry for my english, thanks.
What is the "green" board? Is it like our particle board here in the US? I wish I knew a mailing address for you. I would send you some belt dressing sticks for your new sanding machines.
Is there any way i can buy the plans directly from you, instead of doing it through etsy? I think it's at rip of that i have to pay more, than people in the US, for the same plan.
I really like the belt sander but I had to mute the first vid after the second time that song played then I clicked on part 2 and there it was again :(
That is what your volume control is for. I happen to like his choices of music and if I happen not to like one...well you now know the answer to that don't you?
I love how people on You Tube have $50,000.00 worth of equipment, and $3,000.00 worth of material laying around their shop, and then show me they can build something. Not taking away from the project, but just saying.
Foarte interesant .Daca va rog puteti trimite niste dimensiuni in mm ? adresa mea de mail este marianharagea@gmail.com.Multumesc f mult si numai bine va doresc !
The way you built it is so simple and easy to understand..thanks for your great video...

Thanks a lot! I barely can wait to make one for my workshop.
Oh crap! Not the same music AGAIN! Just the sound of tools only. This tune is hard enough ONCE without the dang loop.
