she actually did interview and she was saying that she wanted this album to be more of an old school rock style and I think she did it perfectly
She is so excellent with the blues style. On the surface that sounds like an easy thing, because it is simple in scales and chords. But making it real, Blues is not an easy feat at all.

I find you can hear so many of the different bands and styles that influenced each song as they're all so different, yet fit together perfectly because the band adds their own style

There are so many people complaining, but have you HEARD what Taylor says in her interviews about who her influences are? It's classic rock almost entirely across the board. This has a very bluesy classic rock feel. I think it's fantastic and groovy. I know it's different from their last albums but it's very groove based and less cookie cutter rock. I think this is a good direction for them. I say this as a big fan of their last 2 albums.

I love this. It's very bluesy hard rock.
All the pop heads that loved their old stuff aren't feeling this...but I love it. Her voice suits this so much.

Im referring tall the "light me up" days, when she was with a major label and more known for her fame in pop culture...than the music. And yes, it was pop/rock then.

Smells like the pretty reckless
I personally like the direction they are going, Taylor is growing and so his her writing. Going to Hell was heavy, but if they stayed like that people would accuse them of becoming stagnant. I loved the sound of their first album, Going to Hell was darker and heavier. This new album looks to be a bit rawer, not as heavy mind you, but still raw.
Take Me Down is a very nice take on a legend as old as Rock N Roll itself, Robert Johnson talking about selling his soul to the devil, hardly a "Disney song."
It seems like most people were expecting Taylor to continue going on stage with a cutoff shirt and her nipples taped. But artists change, and it's not like they've suddenly decided to do anything too different. It's still Rock N Roll, and I give them credit for changing it up because not many artists can do that!

Deffo Taylors voice suits a bluesy 12 bar beat, this girl can sing anything country, blues and rock
You'll either love this album or hate it, it's not up to me or any of the other commenters (no matter how hard they try) to tell you to enjoy their "new sound" or not.
I'm just saying give it a shot with an open mind for what it's supposed to be, not oppress it for what it's not.

In my opinion, their best album yet. Going to Hell was pretty generic to me, WYSF has some unique qualities to it.

I don't hate it, but it is definitely different from their past two albums. I like the "bluesy" feel I get from it, like it should be playing in some little tavern, while you drink beer and smoke cigarettes. I like it, it's groovy. Nice job TPR.

I loved so much their first albums, the second is better than the first one. The sound of the second album is so deep and darkness. I have waited the third album were better than last one; but this song and take me down sounds like so good, but don't better. This is my opinion
Derick Rafael i agree with you, their second album was amazing and a huge improvement from their first. I'm not sure if the whole album is gonna have this sound, but its definitely something i can get used to. i also don't think its better then their second album, YET, (since we havent heard the whole album), but I like that they're experimenting and venturing into new sounds
I loved the Hit Me Like A Man EP on acoustic and this has a similar feel. 💀🖤

I can honestly say, this band in moving into a whole new area in their song style. I LOVE IT! I've loved this band since I first heard of them back when Light Me Up was released and I've been a fan ever since. I have loved every song released and this is absolutely amazing. So excited for the new album, I can hardly control myself!

I think this is the best cd yet.... so creative. Songs and lyrics are amazing.
I love her voice in this style. But I also love her voice in her "usual style". This is an amazing album, I love it, it gets my feet tapping, my body moving and brings a cheeky smile to my face. The pretty Wreckless always get my body moving and my vocal cords exercised, I have enjoyed every song they've released so far and welcome this change in pace :)

Wasted Youth try Halestorm or Letters from the fire when you want it heavy. Taylor said that her influences always was the old school rock artists so this is exacly what they want to sound like. Like it or hate it, but I bet they will do what they want not what some ones else want.
