Wow I felt the same when my old high school friends were trying to get me back in friendship with them. So they created a group messenger to keep in touch. But every time I’m chatting with them through group messenger, my energy was being drained and anxiety would come upon me. My energy and emotions were drained for a week and later on I decided to block all of my friends and block the messenger as well. Since then I never revisit any of our friendships and I rather leave it as is bc I’m in a different place of my life. While they’re still wanting to party and meet men at the age of 40s. I enjoy my solitude and company of my young kids and family. So yes it is true some company will make you drain and like prophet Lovy said. It’s better to leave them. To God be all the Glory!!
