I’ve been a fan for years. Shane you seem like an amazing coach. I’m going into the mma world with the goal that one day I’ll be successful enough to make you my coach. Get ready, the future’s on its way

1 set up was great by Dustin Poirier. Works from both stances. Its the punch he rocked Khabib and Max with. Cross to the body (can be a fake) step forward with the back foot switching the stance + closing the distance and come over the top with the other hand. If you’re orthodox its gonna be overhand left, southpaw its gonna be OH right. Tried it in sparring. Worked perfectly
Hey Shane I went back and watched your “how I made my gloves” video and I was wondering, are you still thinking about making those old school leather looking gloves cause those would be dope. Keep up the great work and bullies suck
Great information. I have stated before I’m of average grappling ability, enough to teach a novice to fight a novice and win with grappling, so I like the idea of reaching for the leg, obviously that is a little more effective if you can actually do a real nice single leg takedown, but I use the low jab very effectively for this as you pointed out. I think the important thing and that is to really sell the movement in dipping the shoulder and bending at the knees, almost like a snake charmer pulling your opponents guard and focus down. Of course a good stiff jab landing to the stomach doesn’t feel good and that makes hands go low to, so what I’d like to do is hit them with a good shot and then fake the next while they are thinking about it. Great content. I have to say it’s one of the best channels I have seen, another one I get a great deal of information out of it is Michelle Waterson . I Have recently started to utilize the way she throws her jab and straight punches with a twist at the end, it has really helped to develop some extra power and help me to commit to straightening the arm more as sometimes I have a tendency to short change the punch when shadow boxing. May I ask if you have any belief in this technique of twisting the punch at the end and having top knuckles down essentially assuming you have seen it at the very least if not do it. I started in boxing but never ever saw this until Michelle.
This isn't my style of fighting, but learning new things is always a plus. Also I'm sure that learning these tricks is a good way of being prepared for them.
Coach I am going to start MMA... should I start with wrestling..or directly to MMA Gym...What will be better...to fight with a background or without background..only MMA
Hey shane .. I just got back to training .. I had to stop because of some health problems but I noticed that i've become so afraid of getting hit and that's unusual .. can you please tell me what to do ?
thank you shine , now i'm amatuer boxer ,my quations is : how much systeme defenses boxing existe? can you give me 5 typses defnse and slips and how to see the punch , and thanks again for reading my quation.
I like to throw the overhand as a counter. I duck and let it rip as a person tries to throw a jab and move in on me. Yeah it opens me up to knees, but there's risks in everything
Thanks for emphasizing that the overhand should be thrown in a more straight manner. Straighter is faster and it can get you the KO because your opponent is less likely to see it coming.
drali230 Although we have a different viewpoint, I respect you and your right to have your own opinion. Shane is always looking to produce a quality video. You may want to leave him your comments. Hope you have a great day and weekend! Peace, Bro.
They are currently in production, and will be available for purchase late November! We ordered a limited quantity and these gloves sell out quick, so be sure to sign up for email notifications here: eepurl.com/dAtcU5
Hi Shane! Im almost turning 18, should I go to a MMA gym or a Boxing gym? I have some Karate, judo and mostly self defense background and I want something more intense with lots of sparring but to work in a street fight scenario. So.... for self defense should I go to MMA or boxing?
It is almost sad all these fighting techniques are useless other than for purpose of exercising.. 1. You can't have serious match in dojo as someone can get hurt badly. Human body is weak. One wrong hit can kill or permanently injure someone. 2. Too many rules in dojo. Due to safety rules, no one can fight in full potential 3. Fighting in street. Good way to get locked up in jail or getting sued. Even if it is a self defense, you still have to go through painful process to prove your innocence. 4. Fighting thugs. Most of them carries guns or knives.. good way to get yourself killed. Even if you somehow beat them, they will come back for revenge or more trouble. The era we are living in.. it is different from the one in manga or movie.. Unless you go pro, most of techniques are useless in real match. well.. even if it's pro matches on ring, there are many rules to follow, thus it is not a real fight. >.
That Lance Palmer overhand! 👊
It was great to see him let those hands go! Thank you again for the great event -- excited for Oct 31 🤘😄

This isn't the first video he did that in
It’s a point worth mentioning a second time.
William Davis yeah but it's a point worth saying that he's said it twice

Mixed martial arts has a plethora of applications in combat. Sport or real life, it is beneficial having more angles upon which to attack from
@@shadowxsnow4985 Thx for your answer bro!
U should fight adam saleh in the logan vs ksi rematch
lol Shane would demolish Adam🤣
The second one is what Manuel Marquez did to pacquio
Hi Shane. What is your reach?
Can some boxing experts tell me why it's called overhand punch rather than a hook ? Because it looks just like a long range hook to me
shane whats your part in #teamtrees an fighting the death of earth
How do I actually practice these
Shadow boxing u could do it in front of a mirror or record ur self to watch later
The takedown fake with overhand right is exactly what khabib did against Connor. Yet people call it a lucky punch.
I bet Shane is a bro in real life
