That's very light for a round, but still lethal. Funny part is it's a mix of velocity and weight that truly makes a round deadly. For example, a 36 grain. 22lr travels at 1,600 fps but a .223 (aka AR-15 round) travels at 3,000 to 3,200 fps (feet per second), yet it only weighs 55 grains. point being, if your looking for lethality, you want that combination of density and speed. Also, I'm only saying this because, I find ballistics to be fascinating. Engineering a new cartridge and weapon must be one hell of a challenge.

Also 22 caliber firearms are considered less important in states that generally don't like guns California notably ,Also a New Ruger 10/22 the Semi-Auto Toyota Camry of them (Reliable, Allover the place.) is 250 300$ range.
