Ghana has a hydroelectricity dam built in the 60s to power Ghana so Ghana doesn't need Nigerians to supply us with light. When the population of Ghana started to grow, we decided to have an alternative source of power so we built the Aboazi dam, which was powered by gas, now we produce gas so we don't need Nigerian gas
Please our major source of electricity in Ghana is from Akosombo dam which is hydro plant.the thermal plants are the minor which use gas and can amount to 20% of the electricity use in Ghana.the 80% is from Akosombo dam which is hydro plant.

Big businesses operate on credit.. So as countries... Most often a country has to run to collect revenues to use to do trade... So ghana is no exception.. Even the so called western states operate on credit...Secondly it a matter of storage in Nigeria.. If you are produce something in abundance you need storage... If your storage is full u need to get rid if old stock.. The easiest way is to sell on credit... Ghana buys on credit for fact and sometimes slow to pay dependant on the government in power... Our current government did well in the past 6 years but now it performed badly... Nigeria supplies gas to Ghana for only 10% of the total light output... The majority of our light is from our two hydro dams.. Akosombo and Bui....

Buei dam which is hydro, and Kong which is also hydro. Aside that, Ghana also has a thermal power plant that uses gas and diesel and the gas is cheaper than diesel, so Ghana chose to buy gas from Nigeria so it is impossible for Nigeria to supply Ghana electricity. It’s very untrue and it can never happen in that way.
