- Kirk Brandon is well known for leading not one but two famous bands. The first Theatre of Hate is a post punk new wave band, and this was followed by the more melodic rock band, Spear of Destiny. He is in the studio speaking to Bill Smith about a portrait painted by the late Simon Dixon, a great Brighton artist who captured many legendary performers including Elvis, Lemmy and John Lydon.
Such a thoughtful and intelligent man. We have been very fortunate to have his music, his art and himself.
Was this really the best person they could find to interview Kirk Brandon?
😂😂😂
Ummmm
Wonderful interview with Kirk Brandon. The Simon Dixon portrait is phenomenal!
And the third (first?) Kirk's band was called The Pack.
Olek twBolek long live The Pack
First.
Piss off haters, go buy an album.
Kirk Brandon And The Wailers.
i knew and loved simon very much and for a long time and we have 3 originals on our walls, and now sam has gone too😔
I want one of these Simon Dixon Giclees. I recently saw a pic of Kirk signing them all... Went to the site. Only a few left, at 350 Pounds. I don't even want to know what that translates to U.S.D.!
So basically he didn't know Simon at all?
You Joker did you?
Hom much for one then kept that one to themselves.
i know the name due to boy george orbit, but nothing more.
...............A 'la get a life of your own to talk about.
For a punk rocker he’s rather dull. The scenery behind him is more interesting!
@Neil Benjamin He was however Boy George's boyfriend back in the day. Which doesn't matter at all ... Theatre of Hate were a great band, followed by punks btw.
Neil Benjamin yes he was dumbass!
He's far from dull, you have probably never seen them live.
@@baggersal & you mentioned that for what reason lol 🤷🏻♂️
