Jipyeong is such a warm-hearted person. Some ppl can't just see his way on how he care for someone. The reason why he's acting cold, how he always deny and push people away because he's used being alone and abandoned and he's unfamiliar about the feeling of being loved
And they forget they share a common thread both of them was met with disappointment growing up. She had a good granny who stood by her side he didn't have anybody but was by himself so he's don't know how to react to people caring for him, even though he cared so much for others but didn't know how to show it which indicate he is just as valuable.
He's a good guy and all. It's just that he's unnecessarily rude to the SamSan boys. Rebecca how their first meeting went. He literally spoke down on them. Ya, they really aren't good at doing business but having another nagging mouth for the SamSan boys only adds to their struggle. Sometimes he's too jealous for his age. For example, scrunchie and 1st elevator incident. Let's say he did it for Dal Mi who was crying that time. So, let's say Han did it for her sake. But, what about Do San? He's unnecessarily stuck with that thing. And also he didn't get over her just like her. He technically delayed them getting back together unknowingly. I like how charcter though. I'm not a hater. Actually, there are lot of people who surrender Do San, Dal Mi and the writer for the SLS. Directors make SL with SLS because of the majority tendency to develop irresistibly.

Han Ji Pyeong emanating Kim Jung Hwan energy. He pretends he doesn't care and acts arrogantly but deep down, he really cares. 🥺 On the other hand, Nam Do San is like Choi Taek. He is very smart and awkward but so precious. He also cares deeply for the people around him. And most of all Dal Mi chose Nam Do San...well as of episode 6. We're still actually not sure since the series is still not done. But as of now, Dal Mi is choosing Do San. Let's see if Dalmi and Do San end up together in this drama (which is probably what will happen but my in denial self is still lowkey hoping it would be han ji pyeong and dalmi endgame huhu)
Your comparison of these 3 character with the reply 1988 trio is on point. I’ll probably be happy for dosan like I was for taek but I know I’ll also be crying buckets for ji pyeong like I did for Junghwan. It’s tough when both characters are so likeable.
Regardless of what happens, I'm rooting for Jipyeong. He's my favorite. Dosan is for puppy love. Jipyeong is endgame. If it doesn't happen that way, I'll gladly take Jipyeong myself.

Second lead syndrome. Han Ji Pyeong is Seo Dal Mi's love from the past but I think Nam Do San is her love in the present. Although her love for Do San is just a result of his love for Ji Pyeong (who used Do San's name) in the past, she has fallen in love with the real Do San. But then again Ji Pyeong was always there for her when he found Dal Mi and her grandma again. He's like a guardian angel watching over them. I can't help but root for him.
