that was an interesting conversation on tree growth rings. But no clear conclusion. For the kids watching. Tropical trees do NOT generally have growth rings because they grow all year round. In countries that have winter, all trees STOP growing in winter and restart growth in spring, and in the process create growth rings for each year. Hence we can count the age of a tree by the number of growth rings.
