Being cramped behind the wheel in this boat is because of where the owner has the hotfoot located. I’m 6-4 and feel like I have adequate room behind the wheel. I have the xrs which is the single console model of this boat. Keep the videos coming. I’ve enjoyed watching them and hearing an unbiased opinion on each.
Loved the smile on your face Ken after running that Bullett !! Looked like a kid at Christmas and you couldn't have beat that smile off your face with a paddle hit upside your head !! Great job :)
Scary Ken. I felt for ya in that speed boat. My wife is my fishing partner. She would say no way. Lol. Cool video Ken as usual. Love hearing it like it is. No sugar coating with manufacturers as to likes and not likes. I'm same way, i like holding builders accountable, presenting ideas. Thanks for all your time involved in all this. Good job behind the scenes.
Nice thing with go fast boats is you dont have to be at full throttle to go the same speed as everybody else. Think of the stress on a motor at 75% throttle vs 100% throttle. I also love being able to put as much stuff into a boat as I can fit and the boat doesnt slow down because i drive 80ish max but the boat is capable of 90mph. I used to have an Allison XB-21. Awesome boat.
Absolutely, you are a hundred percent right. Plus all the gas you save by having the much lighter boats. Fuel economy is incredible especially with the 300r or 300xs. People that hasn’t driven one has no idea of the smooth ride they’re missing at any speed!
Been fishing the eastern part of the country for years and I totally agree with you about the seats....I drive like you do with the exception I hate hot foots...and many boats are not set up to sit like that...I guess most people like it down low but as I fish a lot of brackish water I like to be up higher
Congrats, I watched it, still trying to figure out why I should watch this before I buy a boat. I knew before I watched it I would no way in hell be buying a Bullet. Thanks anyway.
I WOULD LOVE to see you test the NEW GAMBLER ELITE BOAT. GREAT RIDING BOAT. They are made in SOUTH CAROLINE. COME IN TWO MODELS 20 FT 7 INCHES AND 21 FT 11 INCHES. Please do a review of one of this boat.. thanks.
This was a really good honest review but it leaves one question to be answered. Who would ever consider putting "Milwaukee" beer in the cooler to begin with 😂
That feeling you had when you let off wasn't the wind. That's the prop paddle wheeling. Some props if you just chop the gas it will kick out the back end.
It’s a novel plan you have to be able to get in almost any boat you want. And get to test drive them on a weekend notice or so. Your pretty good at busting them down to the nuts and bolts too.👍🏻
Bullett is a great boat. I would like to see you do a review on a Falcon 205 DC . I'm sitting on go about to pull the trigger on one for my wife and I loaded out and it's a DC with seadek
Another vid about a boat/brand I hadn't considered....not that I have any need to go HWY speed in a boat. Lakes I fish, that would be like trying to run a sprint foot race in your bath tub. Thanks for posting. Can't wait to see the scoring.
Most of the lakes I fish near home are 200-300 acres and still own a Bullet 21xd (21’10”). I have the Ohio River near and I can stretch her legs on it. After owning several brands, I wouldn’t consider anything else. Ever get the chance to ride in one, especially with an experienced driver, do so. I promise you, you will be amazed with the ride and speed. It handles rough stuff better than most. 👍🏻
Great review my last boat was a 21XDC with a 300 90 mph was very possible. Boat before that was an Allison I realize these are not for everyone and there is no reason to go 90 or 80 or 70 or 60 or 50 for that matter. It is just personal preference in what you want in a boat. I look forward to the new reviews each week
Awesome boat, I like the go fast boats over the big, comfortable ones but I don't fish many tournaments. Any chance you'll get to test drive an Allison?
872hawkeye I guess I worded that wrong, some have to have the big, huge front decks. I’ll prefer more speed or a more fun boat to drive. The Bullet is the only one I’ve seen that really out a smile on his face, that’s what I like, something fun to drive and different.
Actually a Bullet has a deck that looks like an aircraft carrier. Lol. It’s not wide like a Ranger but I can only fish from one side at a time. Lol. I go from front to back. I never go across while ones on. I guess it’s what you get used to. I’ve fished from one for a long time and can’t see in anything else. They are roomy and compartments are super spacious.
872hawkeye I’m not putting it down, I fish out of a BCB Eyra which isn’t a wide deck boat. Personally, I don’t see the need for the big, wide front decks but that’s just my personal preference. Sure they are nice at times but I want a boat that puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I like the Alison’s, Bullets, and of course my Bass Cat which is kinda in between. I’d love to have that 300R on my Eyra.
Oh no, I didn’t take it as a put down. I was just commenting on the space. I too like the “narrowness” as some would say. I guess if your used to rangers with a tugboat shaped front end and super wide width, you might find a Bullet somewhat narrow. But all good!
Beautiful Boat and super fast !! The carpeted box's, sump mess and the cheapy stuff is not for me. Go fast boats typically blow around easy and don't fish well but are fun to drive!! Is what it is... Thank you for the hard work!!
Granted, they are 600-700 lbs lighter than your typical bass boat and set out of the water much higher and they move a little more than the heavys, but as far as fishability, you’ve evidently have not fished from one. I’ve owned several brands and love a Bullet better than any of them. From the huge front deck (and I do mean length), nice back deck and spacious compartments they have plenty of room. Unless your used to fishing from a tugboat, the Bullet has plenty of moving room. I don’t run across my deck. I catch fish from one side or the other and move front to back.

Agree with the other subscribers. Keep up the good work. Would like to see better live well system similar to the salt water versions where regardless of boat operation always bringing in fresh water. In my ranger constantly switching from auto to recirculating.
Bullet’s have an incredibly smooth ride. I think of them as the Cadillac of boats. Handles rough stuff better than most out there. That’s one of the reasons I own one.

I would pass on the whole rig just because it has a square tubing trailer, ask any past skeeter owner about square tubing,,,, rots from the inside out.
What I have experienced with sq. Tubing: water doesn’t drain out of it completely resulting in the corrosion over time ( doesn’t dry as fast) 2nd had a little more trouble with corrosion on the lights as well(that’s probably cured with the better light kits available).Seam to see tubing in mid priced ski boat trailers
Open frames are preferred more than tubes but I’ve had mine for 12 years and it’s even been in brackish water. Wash it off and flush water through it. No problems.
In a lot of those fast boats, you just got to keep your foot in it and power thru the chop. If you try slowing down you’ll get your kidneys pounded of you.
mike underbrink Bullet’s hull design was created to keep weight down and increase strength. Less weight rides higher in rough stuff. When going slower it slices through the rough so you don’t get your guts beat out like you’ll find in so many other brands. Bullet isn’t your typical assembly line cookie cutter boat. There’s a reason for this, it’s called custom. Every boat is hand laid to assure the highest quality.

Okay...
mike underbrink Bullet’s hull design was created to keep weight down and increase strength.

No, oh hell no!!!
That looks like a real fun boat. I have a question. I have a 21 ft hawk boat and needing a good beefy winch. What would you recommend?
Ken I' m most impressed with the Fulton winches and trailer jacks, this one is 1800 lbs, which I believe is the same one that's on my Ranger trailer amzn.to/33QxTKz
