Thank you for explaining why that radio is so much more superior. It’s just like having a transceiver where you can actually just tune in on each frequency sounds good.
I guess my hangup is DC power. Rechargeable or D cell batteries only. In another one of your videos you said that it performs better with the D batteries. I have a Grundig 750 and prefer the AC with battery backup myself. Personal preference I guess.
Isn’t there an even older version of the 750, it may have been branded a Grundig, it may have had a different display, more crude looking larger frequency numbers and no SNR portion? I saw it for sale long ago, definitely early 2000s at the now defunct Fry’s Electronics in Arizona
I think the advice back in the day was to keep the BFO centered, I remember hearing that somewhere, with fine adjustments here and there, but not much. I think I like the display of the older model slightly more with the bright orange (amber?) screen.
UPDATE: both radios "Perform" the same............................saying the Eton is less quality than the Tecsun is BS and both fine tune voice in SSB. Wake up.

I'm itching to buy one. Thanks for the in depth review

So the Tecsun is DSP the Eaton is not? Thank you fot posting.
original S-2000 aka Eton aka Grundig is not DSP
Is there any significant difference in FM?

There is a Grundig but they are all the same as they are just branded from the Tecsun s-2000
Maybe you're thinking of the GRUNDIG SATELLIT 800 MILLENNIUM?
Where can I send mine in for repair, it always had static in the volume knob but now it wont tune into anything?

S2200X is way ahead of the original... much better radio
Looks like another cheap Chinese radio. You do a good job, but you don’t have much to work with.
nothing cheap about it, Chinese receivers are amazing now
I concur! The Chinese have come quite a ways!
