Araki managed to make a loophole in nazi idealogy. The reason strolheim was all helpfull and heroic was becouse he knew that vampires and pillar men are a danger for his fuhrer's reign of power.

@@ibs_haver here’s my head canon: the Russian Stand user was hired by Hitler to kill Stroheim. Hitler realized Stroheim was far to powerful. Stroheim was supposedly “killed” by the Stand user at Stalingrad but he actually lived but later found out Hitler had hired the Stand user. And u kno how no one knows what happened to Hitler? Stroheim near the end of the war found Hitler and killed him. Then Stroheim went into exile. And lived as his own free man.
My friends recently got me to watch jojo part 1 and 2, and I fell in love with this character. They made an SS officer one of the best characters in those two parts, and it's wonderful

i love how they made me love a nazi. From wanting joseph to rip him apart for killing those mexican prisoners and being an SS officer to me almost shedding a tear when the narrator tells of his death.
Jojo's series has a great way of giving the audience more than just white and black. Very few characters have no redeeming features save for Dio and Kars.
Even with the Mexicans, he spared the brave one who was willing to die for the others. Just as how Wamuu upheld his honour, despite being an evil aztec vampire stripper god, or how one of the vampire knights redeemed himself.
Characters are often also punished justly, and you don't feel that their punishments were overdone. A thug just gets beaten up, but the serial killer gets executed.
And the poor good guys aren't invincible either. Zeppeli, Avdol, the plankton girl all die, the stakes are real most of the time.
