CID is called in to investigate a mysterious case where people are reported missing near a bridge on a newly opened highway. Witnesses claim to have heard the sound of a flute before the disappearances. The team explores the area around the bridge, leading them into the woods where they make a gruesome discovery: skeletons with the skin removed, buried in the soil, and all missing their heads. Realizing it's the work of a serial killer, CID faces the challenge of identifying the killer with no criminal history, an unusual killing style, and no apparent suspects. The investigation intensifies as the team strives to solve the mystery behind the flute-playing serial killer.

The protagonists of the serial are an elite group of police officers belonging to the Crime Investigation Department of the police force, led by ACP Pradyuman [played by the dynamic Shivaji Satam]. While the stories are plausible, there is an emphasis on dramatic plotting and technical complexities faced by the police. At every stage, the plot throws up intriguing twists and turns to keep the officers on the move as they track criminals, led by the smallest of clues.
