    You must insert the drill bits all the way into the handle. Thus you get a more stable and shorter distance between the drill and your grip. The longer that distance is the easier it is to break the drill bits.

    Hi guys
    I was speaking with the company and they will go back to the design and quality to improve the product 👌

    Peri on the box is the word >, stay away from tungsten-carbide hand tools because they break, not bend. This is also true for (very) high quality-cost drills. Didn't know that, bought a set from Karnasch Φ30,40,50 used the smaller two in a hand drill, broke the carbide inserts in an hour. Used the largest one in a drill press, never broke a single insert so far for years. My point, avoid carbide for home-modelling use.

    The bit segment is long and thus it's more prone to break under pressure. I like the traditional pin vise because I'm able to 'sink' the but into the handle and just expose the length that should drill into the target surface, never broke a bit after learning to control the exposed length.
    The fact that DSPAIE drill does not allow this by design is a flaw.

    I bought the pin-vice and bits of DSPIAE's as packaged by Meng. You can only get about a single use or maybe two out of the smallest two or three bits they break so easily (as you can see in the video). Just get a Tamiya pin-vice and someone else's drill bits.

    Great video! This shows pretty well that, in my opinion, most dspiae tools were made for pressureless and precise things. The broaches however, are incredible! Do you prefer the push or hook broaches?

  • @lawtongore7053
    @lawtongore7053 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    That small drill bit should never have broken... You need to let the bit cut on its own with not very much pressure on the bit... unfortunately most modelers make that mistake... Take it from a retired construction worker lol....

    I also broke all drills. Very low quality! I own also other DSPIAE products and after one year of using it I can say-this products are not exceptional. You may easily find same quality products in much lower price. Very nice boxes and good looking shapes it is definitely not enough to pay that much. I DO NOT recommend DSPIAE products!

    The drill bits are the SAME ones sold on Amazon ( I bought them ). The bits come in packs of 25 for $19 ! Fancy packaging for what ? Total waste of money that you could spend on model kits.

  • @SmashedGlass
    @SmashedGlass 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Those drill bits snap because they are very cheaply produced in China and definitely NOT made of "tungsten". Deceptive advertising on DSPIAE's part.

    Not a good publicity for that Dspiae.. Even if u made mistakes on using drillbits not posing the part on table and acting very very very slowly...and seems the quality itself is veeeeery low end.. And you have to use his proper screwdriver to change the drill? It will be lost in a second over a serious hardcore modeller table 😁 I have Tamiya one from centuries and it is a dream!
    Even the scriber... It woks nice, ok, but you have to use pliers to let the point exit? Cmon!!! We need items to easy our life not that complicate it!
    Will never buy a bit from that producer.
    Thanx for the review!! ☺️ 👍

    All these tiny bits are so fragile so it is not advisable to buy expensive ones.At eBay exist bits with 1-2 euros that you will not worry about.
