What's crazy is I was having random songs pop into my head today. They weren't Christian songs and I prayed God take those thoughts away and then this video pops up on my feed. God stays working.
I heard a voice in my soul tell me to delete all the worldy songs. I honestly ignored it until months later, the voice came back, and I deleted all. I thank God He revealed the truth and exposed the enemy and his wicked tactics. It's all spiritual, and be careful of what you feed your soul and spirit. I love music . I have loved singing and dancing a lot ever since I was a toddler, and to this day I still love music, love Christian rap , reggae gospel , praise and worship , r and b gospel. All praise the most high God ❤

I’m 20 years old and I’ve been making music since I was 11. Just a year ago when I was born again, I began to make music that glorifies God instead of myself. I do pray over my songs, but this encourages me to pray over them more than I have been. It also encourages me too fast before making a song and read scripture before making a song as well. Not all video games are bad, there are tons of amazing games out there. Alot are not aimed for little kids unless you speak of specific ones.
Yes. I can't remember the name of this video game involving a frog in an ancient temple setting. But I loved to play it but as I kept getting on to new levels, at the end of every win, the enemy-a demonic looking ancient deity that I defeated would threaten me with these word curses type messages. I finally had a dream to to where I walked into what looked like a toy store and came across this arcade game. The game was so evil and demonic with its images etc.
I felt like this symbolized the game I was playing in real life. I destroyed the game and haven't looked back since.

My brother I was born in 1980 my brother told me this when I was growing up that what I listen to would put demons and even though I was protecting the family if I had to I prayed every day I didn't have to kill anyone because it was crazy where I was at and people were getting killed and I wish it were harming weapons I said nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah bro what you listening to is polluting your mind this is around 1995-97 I see what he meant so much right now I'm so thankful I prayed every day and never had to do anything to protect my family it truly a soldier of God I respect your story so much

In the last few weeks god has convicted me to throw away books, cds, and random items in the house and i used to love my rap, hip hop pop music i spent 1000s of dollars over the years and i just never knew the demonic spirtis of music , and its effects on our spirits and out minds! I write lyrics and started listening to Gospel music in 2022 only.
For the last 23 years, I've been working in music (bands, production, audio engineering, etc) for a living, pretty much exclusively. As I grow closer to God, I find myself more and more vexed, by even some of the most innocuous music I am called upon to learn, play, and even produce and mix. And lately, I've actually become quite jaded with music itself, finding it hard to get motivated to be creative, or even LISTEN to music. The problem is at this point, I don't know what else to do with myself, vocationally, if it's not music-related.

Since I haven't seen any testimonies about having a classical western art music background (at the point of my writing), I guess I'll throw in my experience in here. I was taught from the age of 7 to my mid-twenties the canon composers of western classical music, and I didn't give a thought about some in particular: Franz Liszt and Niccolo Paganini. Paganini used to be called the devil's violinist. Liszt used to play piano to crowds and women would swoon and faint... Other composers were not living clean: Frederick Chopin was living with Aurore Dudevant (pen name: George Sand) and other such composers like Richard Wagner, Petyr Tchaikovsky and such. I wonder if much music that we were introduced is harmful, since a lot of that music has influenced my style of composition as it is integrated in the world of academia.
My music playlist was mostly filled with video game instrumental music of jRPG games and MMORPGs and movies: Though some of those composers I have taken my style from (Joe Hisaishi, Yoko Shimomura, Yuzo Koshiro, Yann Tiersen, Olivier Toussaint and Paul De Senneville, etc.), those styles influenced my compositions I composed during my university years and onward.
It is also because I teach piano to students and I am unsure of what I can perform that would be spiritually safe.
I can relate to you as I am a classical musician who started to make Christian music a year ago. In my own experience, God always provides guidance for everything no matter how small the matter is, as long as you ask for it earnestly. Maybe God will give you songs Himself like He gave me!

christian rap isn’t secular. I heard a voice in my spirit telling me to delete all the secular music I had and i did then he told me to start listening to christian rap and the second song i listened to which was “who told you/purpose” by bryann T, i felt the holy spirit and i started crying like a baby. and keep in mind I thought christian rap was trash prior to this, i was not interested in listening to it at all. I make music myself and i believe the Lord wants me to start making music for his kingdom.
