- The Wizarding world isn’t always what it's cracked us to be! While there were days filled with magic and wonder, there were also some very painful situations that left actors in rough shape. From the lead actors to one of the film's directors - most people who were part of this crew suffered in one way or another.
Daniel Radcliffe faced his fair share of pain. His very first day on set left him in tears, struggling with an unfortunate accessory. Then in the later films, he dove headfirst into stunts that left him “bruised and battered.” While that seems like the most dangerous experience he would’ve had would be during daunting stunts, it was actually his co-stars that could cause some real suffering! Then there are the workplace hazards that come with spending multiple hours stuck underwater. Can anyone say infection??
Matthew Lewis became a valiant Neville in the later films, but it certainly didn’t stop him from getting one of the worst injuries on set thanks to co-star Helene Bonham Carter who got a bit carried away. Rupert Grint somehow wound up in a very dangerous situation in one of the earliest films - and he paid the price after he left the set bleeding! Tom Felton learned early on that he had to be careful around certain actors - including the person who would play his on-screen father. Unfortunately, accidents and mistakes were cause for a lot of bruises and cuts! After all that, it's no wonder he was caught on camera flinching before being hit in a scene - the fear was real!
Despite the hardships, we doubt any of these actors would trade their Harry Potter experience for the world!

I never understood the "mother's eyes" problem. Like yes, Daniel couldn't wear lenses, but actresses who played Lily could, so.. that would solve the problem in 2 seconds.

@@Kinleys_vidz i get that. But what's better? Change the color of the eye, make it different from the book, but mother and son to have same color, when the line "you have your mother's eyes" Is said like 200 times. Or let it be and listen for years that the eye color is different..
I am surprised you didn't mention another 2 major injuries that were caused on the Sets - One in Chamber of Secrets where Crabbe and Goyle ate those floating cupcakes, but they had Fish-Hooks in them so it cut their mouths badly. And in Deathly Hallows Part 1 where Daniel's Stuntdouble got pulled through the Wall by a wire when attacked by Nagini, and Broke his back so badly, it left him permanently confined into a Wheelchair.
his stunt double is always a tough one to hear
I was waiting for the stunt double one. I used to go to school with him and it was horrible when we heard. Originally, he was paralysed from the neck down, but has regained upper body movement, though he will never be able to walk again. He's thankfully moved on and I think races specially adapted cars for a living.

"Harry" can still have his mother's eyes. They can have that soft loving quality all mothers seem to have. He can also have a quirk where he gives a certain look when he's genuinely angry that makes people think they're being scolded by Lilly not her son.

A huge part of the franchise is the emotion the fans feel when they watch the films. There are many moments throughout the series which have reduced fans to sadness and tears.
Dumbledore's death being quite high on the list, as well as Voldemort's death, not because he was dying per se but because his death meant the end of the series.

It's the fact that Daniel couldn't wear green contacts. Everybody was kinda stressed out. In the first book it says that that petunia and Durley were blonde but in the movies there had dark hair.

David Holmes was Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double in the Goblet of fire and it was in that scene where he was flying away from the dragon I don't remember if it was an explosion or he hit the wall wrong or his harnessed grabbed him in a wrong way where it messed up his spine but he's paralyzed from the waist down poor David Holmes he has to live like that for the rest of his life 😭
That injury was from Deathly Hallows 3 films later.
It wasn't even for the movie it was a test before the filming. Hes still credited though. He also acted in the first two films in the philosophers stone he was Adrian Pucey and in the chamber of secrets he was a Slytherin beater.

As someone was has broken the same ear drum twice I have to give him some kind of award because fuck it's so painful epically when it's bleeds I have a perm hole in my ear and your hearing gets worse after as well

poor Rupert when he got unexpected injured by Chess scene...i was so amazed that even he got unexpected injured at the very young age...but he still play along like professional...i can feel the mother heart when she see how her son got injured...i think some of their parents tried to take them home and quit the job so they won't had any injuries anymore...I'm not a mother yet...but i have niece and nephew who i love them dearly...and believe me..if Rupert is my nephew....i would be heartbroken to see he got injured
Kids are tough, or at least they used to be. I was always getting scraps and bruises and cuts when I was a kid. The scary part was how close it came to his eye.

This just makes acting/stunt acting sound a lot of fun
So glad they filmed those scenes underwater tho. The hair behaves in a way that you just can't mimic. the LOTR scenes underwater stick out because the hair gives it away that its fake

I knew that Daniel Radcliffe was allergic to contact lenses long before I found this video. I heard about the fact 4 years ago. I think. Hence why he didn’t wear contact lenses. Thankfully Daniel has beautiful light blue eyes. If they were brown, then they’d have no option but to CGI the green eyes in. And CGI at the time just came out, so if you focus on the eyes or look at them, then you’d still see the brown eyes and CGI. Which is bad.
