- We start our reaction of one of the biggest Indian films to release this year, Kalki 2898 A.D. The movie stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan from director Nag Ashwin. The film became the 4th highest grossing Indian film of all time.

Pandavas(5 brothers) and Kauravas (100 brothers) are the two factions of the same Royal family that fought the war of Mahabharat (there is a long story why it happened).
Kauravas were the bad guys.
Pandavas were the good guys who were mentored by Lord Krishna. 'Bhagavad Gita' is the teaching given by Lord Krishna to Pandava Prince Arjuna on this battlefield.
Though the fight was between good and evil, the evil was so strong that even the good guys had to resort to deceit.
Ashwattama and his father Dronacharya(Teacher of Pandavas and Kauravas) were on the Kaurava side. Dronacharya was super strong and invincible which is why Pandavas sorted to deceit. They announced that they killed Ashwattama (but they had killed an elephant named Ashwattama). Dronacharya believed it as Yudhishtira, the eldest of both Pandavas and Kauravas and the rightful heir to the throne, agreed with the statement(who said 'elephant' in a low sound). Dronacharya believed him as Yudhishtira had never lied in his entire life and always took the path of righteousness. Dronacharya laid down his weapons and mourned. Taking the opportunity they chopped off his head.
After the war, the Pandavas had won and all the Kaurava brothers were killed. Pandavas also lost all their sons. Ashwattama wanted revenge and he wanted to destroy the only heir of Pandavas. So, he used the 'Brahmastra' (a godly weapon) on the womb of 'Uthara' (the daughter in law of Arjuna) killing the unborn child.
Lord Krishna revived the child with his powers and cursed Ashwattama for it.
From there you see the starting of the movie.
Thank you for this summary...i was at my workplace and the subject of kalki came up with one of my friends and subsequently mahabharata...so i thought to explain it to him....but failed miserably😅...now i can tell the story again without the mistakes i made lol

Hi bros, If you get a chance to watch the Malayalam movie Kishkindha kandam, please do and review. It's an Onam(like Christmas in the USA) movie released in Kerala, India. It's a kind of mystery thriller. In the end one is left wondering whether what we were witnessing was a struggle of memory against forgetting or that of forgetting against memory. The true sign of any timeless work of art is that hard-to-achieve space of uncertainty, which Kishkindha kandam masterfully occupies. It would easily find a place among one of the best mystery-dramas Malayalam cinema has ever produced.
