Usually, I don't go back in time to reminisce on a previous series, but since Ultraman Trigger became the very first series I watched on my return back to Ultraman two years ago, it's worth a look back. To begin, it's subtitled New Generation Tiga because, well, he's Tiga's Reiwa Incarnation/ Successor after the 1996 series, which celebrated his 25th Anniversary ( back in 2021, now 27 years later in 2023 ). Some people said Trigger was a good series. Others said it was subparred. Well, to me, it was an EXCELLENT series, the series was recorded and filmed in the middle of the pandemic, and it was debuted alongside the Tokyo Summer Olympics that was pushed to that year, but it reminded us that Trigger was a new Ultraman whose adventures took on a new and familiar path ( just like his Successor and Dyna's Reiwa Incarnation Decker last year in 2022 ). But I don't want to make commenting this too long and away from the subject of this video. That's the end of the memory lane portion of it 😁. What makes his five forms ( six if you include his secondary Ultimate form Trigger Truth ) unique is just that, UNIQUE. Just like Tiga, he has Multi, Power, and Sky Types, but with a new look and style AND his Circle Arms Weapons. His Dark form is an update and an UPGRADED version of Dark Tiga, but a separate entity this time, to represent his Original form before the golden light of the Eternity Core parted him, and was later resurrected ( as Dark Trigger 1.0 / Ancient in Episode 11 ) and was given a new life and identity as Ignis became Dark Trigger 2.0 in the second half of the Series. The decision to make Dark Trigger separate and give a storyline to match that was the best decision they made, along with a new team to succeed the original GUTS team, and before I forget about it, his Glitter Eternity form is ALSO an upgrade as well; while Glitter Tiga is him in his Multi Type but with a golden burst of power, Glitter Eternity Trigger has the power AND the looks to go WITH it, as shown at 4:36, another smart decision that they made with glowing results. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Trigger, especially the second half ( Episodes 14-25 ) and the Trigger Finale Movie 1 1/2+ years ago, as well as Decker. Come to think of it, maybe it was an even better decision not to have a NewGen Gaia in the fold, rather a NEWER Ultra in the form of Ultraman Blazar this year, and while TDB is not TDG, this Reiwa Trio fits and checks all the right boxes so far ( we will get to the final stretch of Blazar next week with the arrival of Visitor 99 aka Valeron, the Final Boss of Blazar ). And if anyone says that Ultraman Trigger was not an exciting and successful series two years ago, obviously didn't a.....smile SMILE experience watching it..and two years later....there's your evidence. Great video all around 👍🏻...forgive me for letting be too long in the comments department, but what a great series it was!
