Isn't this technique so fun? Have you used dried flowers to make polymer clay earrings before? Has this video inspired you to try it?! Let us know!
Does this method with real flowers only work with resin or can you use a polymer clay varnish as well? It looks so beautiful ♥ I'm new at polymer clay, so I have a lot of questions :)
How do you put the resin on please? I tried this method before I saw this video. Trial & errors. Complete failure because of the resin and I place the flowers before and after I baked. I didn't know I could bake with the flowers. Thanks to this video and the other person's tutorial I could continue trying this method.
wish I could have seen the sanding and the resin! so pretty though!
Absolutely beautiful!
I never thought of using dried flowers!
so fun, right>!
Love this!!!
very beautiful and very helpful THANKS!!
Que belleza, mil gracias
Beautiful!!!😍
Thank you! 😊
Why didn't I think of this I tried to find small pressed flowers on clay cut outs never small enough. This is a great idea. Thank you for sharing so much.🥰
You are so welcome! I’m so happy this helped!!
Yes! I put a link to the dried flowers in the description box
If you lay your slab on the paper before you even lay flowers on it you won't have to handle the clay so much. Just bake
thanks for the tip!
Very cool!!
thanks~
These are beautiful! Do you resin both sides of the clay?
Awesome video and I have all supplies on hand, so I’m going to try these out as a first project! BTW, the favorite gold hoop link is broken.
You can also add the holes before baking to lessen the risk of cracking. It's just a lot easier.
some people like to do that, but it often misshapes the clay to cut the hole before baking
Would also love to know what she does with the scraps. So beautiful.
Yes!
Hi! Thank you so much for the video! So beautiful! May I ask what you do with the left overs? I waited but didn't hear about it. I would really appreciate if you could share that info. Thank you!
yes let me ask her!
Very pretty
Thank you! 😊
Thank you!!
Thank you so much for the video , one question what do you do with the left overs when you works with flowers ?
Thanks for watching! Let me ask Jen and I’ll let you know
Was wondering the same thing.Great video.
How did you seal them? Could the flowers come up without sealing? Thx! Beautiful earrings btw:)
yes they can come up without sealing. she used resin to seal
IF YOU DONT WORK WITH RESIN CAN YOU JUST PUT A GLAZE OVER THE FLOWERS AFTER BAKING
Yes!
Wondering how scraps are used after? I checked other comments but, unless I missed it, it doesn't look to be there - I'd lovvvveeee to know, please!
Yes I need to find out!
I think it is important to note that they need to be dried PRESSED flowers as opposed to dried. I heard her only refer to them as the latter and that is what I bought. Dried flowers are too high so they can’t be covered with resin. All of mine fell off too. Oh well just want to be sure no one else makes my mistake. 😢
Firts ❤️❤️
Thanks!
Do you pre heat the oven?
yes, always
How long?
