There's this weird misconception I've been seeing everywhere about Phoebe powercreeping Jinhsi just because they're both Spectro... which makes zero sense, since one is Spectro focused while the other is literally Spectro Frazzle focused, they're different, they share the same element but mechanically it makes no sense to compare them to one another, imo.
Powercreep has 2 ways people express it from what I keep seeing. Actual powercreep from the enemies getting stronger and personal powercreep from your account overlap. If it overlaps on your account, it has opportunity cost, and you're almost never in a situation where you need 2 teams of the same element. There's also different attack dmging types (heavy, basic, skill, liberation), so as long the Devs respect that it exists, it creates another protection layer. But the moment they start to ignore them is when it gets bad. A broken generalist is what propels powercreep and not a niche specialist.
It does make sense because at the end of the day when facing content that are resistant against Spectro they are both gutted and you need an other team, while if a content is weak to Spectro they will both compete to be played. That's the reason why it's generally advised to have teams that work with different elements so you can exploit most of the weaknesses in ToA and events. Having damage on Reso skill, Liberation or basic attacks is meaningless since no ennemies are weak or strong against those types of damages, they are only important for team comps. Think about it, would you rather have 2 teams of different elements or 2 teams full Spectro damage if an event require to farm some hardcore Jue or Mourning Aix?
@ I don't have the right answer, but I've been clearing ToA consistently ever since 1.2 after getting Xingliao, with just Jinhsi and Xingliao, I skipped Fusion and Havoc Carries, I do have Carlotta now, but you can pretty much ignore specific element weaknesses in ToA (not so sure about the middle one now since they introduced this new.. res ignore bs..), if you make it up with skill and supports. And even though Jinhsi is my fav character, it doesn't mean I won't give Phoebe a try just because they're the same element, it makes no difference to me tbh, the only competition there is for me, is how much fun I get to have, that's all that matters for now. No ideia how the game landscape will change in the future..
Word is that due to the elf being a sentinel resonator and a thernodian resonator she will be able to use two elements. Ice and wind from what I’ve heard so far
@@SarKo-4 Which isn't surprising as in Lore, Rover can change between Spectro-Havoc seamlessly, wouldn't be even surprised that eventually Rover will have element that will be combination of two element.

Is Jinshi powercrept? will Phoebe replace her? Short answer?... no. Long answer? while the utility in general may be a bit better Its a different type of damage and a different way of reaching the same result and if you already pulled for Jinshi, specially if you have sequence nodes and/or her weapon you have no need for Phoebe considering the difference is rather minor and they fulfill pretty much the same role. Jinshi will still easily clear nearly anything you want, if we're talking straight numbers and you don't have Jinshi its probably better to get Phoebe instead but considering the current gamestate. just pick your favorite waifu since both perform pretty much the same or whale it out and get both I don't know, do whatever you want i'm not your dad.
The strong aspect of Jinshi is that any other specter character that also reduces the resistance of that element is a good complement, since Jinshi only needs a support that provides coordination attaks, but she herself serves to carry two DPS. This is because its ability to generate two concertos in a short time is excellent for quickswap. Then we will see powerful quickswap combinations between Jinshi and Phoebe. I have my Yuanwu ready and fully equipped: with the coordinated set, with 6000 defense, so that it can serve as quick support, providing shield, concert efficiency, defense and attack buff.
what about all the recent videos pumped out by CCs saying that Jinhsi is still the #1 meta, etc.? are those exaggerating and Phoebe will be stronger than Jinhsi?
@ She's absolutely really strong don't get me wrong, its just as a new player if you still don't have a spectro dps, you might wanna go with Phoebe, they're both to be fair really good options since Jinshi can work with a lvl1 taoqi and a lvl1 yuanwu and nuke everything and Phoebe works well with the MC and Sanhua which you cant NOT have. and Sanhua works at lvl1 too, so they're both really f2p friendly, all that to say. there's arguments for both. and none are the "wrong option" from what we know. just choose whichever is better for your account. if your sanhua is taken or don't wanna build your MC get jinshi, if you don't wanna use Taoqi or her supports like Zhezhi, mortefi or Yinlin are taken then you might wanna go for phoebe. I personally preffer Jinshi, and I already have her S1 with her weapon so I have no use for Phoebe currently

another thing to note about spectro rover is that the forte enchanced skill applies shimmer which prevents spectro frazzle stacks from decreasing for 9 seconds
IMO, Phoebe and Jhinsi are in different damage brackets. Jhinsi's role is to nuke tf out of any content thrown at her as well as have a very short rotation time and she is VERY GOOD at that. Phoebe's role is to have as much field time and dealing good amount of damage while she is doing her combos and attacks while applying a debuff. I don't see any power creeping here. Also, the term is being used very loosely. Power creep means turning the other units obsolete or non-meta.
Kurogames understands that powercreeps is bad for the longevity of characters, which is why each character is excellent in their role, especially the 4-stars. I'm not pulling for Pheobie because: 1) I already have an OP Jinshi 2) I'm saving up for Zani & Cartethyia No shade to those who want Pheobie. I think she's interesting. But compared to Jinshi, she's better in some areas and worse in others. Each character fills their niche very well without making other characters redundant. The aim is to give each character a unique playstyle that will resonate with at least SOMEONE. No character has a set of combos that every type of player will be comfortable with. So it makes sense that having an alternative to Jinshi will make some players happy if they feel dissatisfied with how Jinshi plays.
I was gonna skip her as well until I saw her exploration selling point.. girl can literally fly and follow up with the new flying thing we got as of 2.0 that lets u fly around. No character currently can allow easy access to flying without going to a high elevation.. or performing the combo to get u high and fly. Just her able to do that got me in a bit of a weird spot of weather I still want her or not lol 😥
Will phoebe power creep Jinshi? No. Not "sort of" just simply "No" because Jinshi does nuke damage while phoebe does frazzle damage and frazzle damage builds over time that's why reading the buffs echo's give play an important role
You are wrong about mentioning Mortefi in her teams since she has self-amplification on her heavy attacks (so his outdo buff will be insignificant, the same is applied to Verina and Shorekeeper). Also, she doesn’t have many attacks so Mortefi's own damage from ult will be low. On the other hand, on her ult she has multiplier increase instead of self-amplification, so her best partners would be Jianxin, Yinlin, Changli (assuming third slot is obviously Spectro Rover).
i dont have a main damage dealer(i still use Chixia). My team is Verina and Zhezhi. Should i get Jinhsi now or wait for Phoebe? I would not be able to get Jinhsi's weapon if i chose her as i have only enough astrites for her pull so this is one of my concerns as well. Kindly enlighten me. I appreciate the help
Well both Phoebe and Jinhsi having the most f2p comp ever in this game. You can chose the one you like. Jinhsi f2p comp Jinhsi/Verina (moonlit)/ Yuanwu healer, with this comp you doesn't even need to lv up verina and yuanwu just slap the 2 cost 3 ER in moonlit for verina
I think phoebe would be better in terms of rotation, cuz u need zhezhi or any other coord team that isn't spectro for jinhsi to easily max her forte gauge for a big nuke, but it seems u have zhezhi though. You also need like 85% or more crit rate cuz sometimes her big nuke doesn't crit even if it's 90% which will be a bummer since her big nuke is her main damage. Phoebe on the other hand is pretty much easier to use in my opinion cuz she can crit easily so you don't have to focus on that point... she has two different forte as well, like... she can be a dps or sub dps, it's just that she doesn't have a dedicated team yet aside from the new spectro rover and shorekeeper.
Phoebe is much easier to build and her biggest support - Spectro Rover is literally given for free with max Sequences, the spectro frazzle set giving you a whooping 20% crit rate for free as long as spectro frazzle is in effect is a godsend.
I go Phoebe, if you don't have Zhezhi,Yinlin for coordinated attack, you're going to rely on Yuanwu which only provides coordinated,shield. And if you want to maximize Jinhsi dmg, you gotta need a char. that buffs R.Skill so the only option F2P is Taoqi & Lumi, which means you're going to build Yuanwu with Rejuvenating Set which means no healer, you're only going to use Yuanwu for the coordinated attack and the Rejuvenating buff, while Phoebe has S.Rover as the current de-facto duo for her. Not only that Phoebe is much more useful in overworld than Jinhsi, so Utility and easier to build etc Phoebe, if you want easier gameplay Jinhsi but need good investment with team.
Not really power crept except if it's the sentinels resonator like Cartheya. However Phoebe being a other Spectro Frazzle debuffer is really nice and can test out new ways to play

Even though rovers Spectro damage is getting an increase that still doesn't mean rover is going to power creep Jinshi nor will Phoebi you guys are looking for something that isn't in the game because your use to it being in Genshin when a game like Wuthering Waves shows it doesn't need power creep mechanics to be good, you can't deal with that so your making things up to deal with it, when Changli came out it was the same thing "oh she's going to power creep Jinshi and it never happened. What in the hell automatically makes you think that? Oh, just because Phoebi is Spectro as well she's going to power creep her? Again, Jinshi isn't top dps for no reason she was created as a character to be that way.

With Jue giving Jinshi power that makes her a celestial goddess why would anyone think phoebe will power creep her? Jenshi was made the most powerful in the game for a reason and that's to protect her people, so she was created story wise to be the most powerful stop looking for power creep already and just enjoy the game if you want power creep go back to Genshin HSR ZZZ or ToF
Because Gacha players in general have PTSD from other gacha games ramping up and using powercreep as a justification to get more people to pull on new characters and making old ones completely obsolete or much weaker.. But I agree that it's really weird seeing these panik takes, if anything, I feel that with each new character released, we're getting reverse power creep, where there ends up being more team options that can elevate previous units, it's great!
@@coralreef6298 Yeah there's been 6 updates since Jinshi's release and since then every character starting from Changli wasn't able to power creep her because it wasn't meant to be that way. Kuro doesn't want power creep in their game because it will ruin the enjoyment of the game, also make it imperative that you spend more in the game to keep up meta like certain other games, like you said they are only focusing on teams that work well with each other, I've seen video's saying power creep this power creep that but as for Jinshi she was created story wise to be the strongest in the game due to her role .

Yinlin, Yuanwu and Mortefi using moonlit clouds are pretty good with her (but you need Mortefi s4 to make him useful to Jinshi)

Again, Jinshi isn't top dps for no reason she was created as a character to be that way.
How many times does Kuro have to prove that there isn't any power creeping in this damn game? Ever since Jinshi came out all you hear is how players keep saying the next character is going to power creep her and it never happens it was said with Changli, and it didn't happen it was said with Camillya and it never happened now you have Carlotta and Roccia still nothing even when Shore Keeper came out still no power creep look Kuro has already stated that there isn't any power creeping why can't players just except this fact and just play the damn game and be happy ?
With Jue giving Jinshi power that makes her a celestial goddess why would anyone think phoebe will power creep her? Jenshi was made the most powerful in the game for a reason and that's to protect her people, so she was created story wise to be the most powerful stop looking for power creep already and just enjoy the game if you want power creep go back to Genshin HSR ZZZ or ToF
Because Gacha players in general have PTSD from other gacha games ramping up and using powercreep as a justification to get more people to pull on new characters and making old ones completely obsolete or much weaker.. But I agree that it's really weird seeing these panik takes, if anything, I feel that with each new character released, we're getting reverse power creep, where there ends up being more team options that can elevate previous units, it's great!
@@coralreef6298 Yeah there's been 6 updates since Jinshi's release and since then every character starting from Changli wasn't able to power creep her because it wasn't meant to be that way. Kuro doesn't want power creep in their game because it will ruin the enjoyment of the game, also make it imperative that you spend more in the game to keep up meta like certain other games, like you said they are only focusing on teams that work well with each other, I've seen video's saying power creep this power creep that but as for Jinshi she was created story wise to be the strongest in the game due to her role .
