Taecyeon deserves an award just for being - Taecyeon. His acting career is becoming more and more impressive. He virtually murdered his role in Vincenzo and now he jumps right back into performing with 2PM seamlessly. All that talent and hawtness should be rewarded. I think this is what you call a real brotherhood. They "grew up" together, became successful and once they got older everyone followed their own journey but when there's a reunion everyone will show up and they'll throw a party😄
As I know, most of 2nd gen idols is built with live singing skill, but at 3rd gen I think that when live singing is not much focused in these music shows as their choreography become more complex, especially the boys group sectors due their choreography become more acrobatics & complex to 2nd gen. But again, the most company that time still keep their main auditions to peoples who had visual and vocal qualities in them. That's why at transition phase to 3rd gen, the album of the groups had some ballads in them to showed of the member vocals qualities. Mamamoo is quite prime example of the few last 3rd gen debut who built focused on vocal & live singing skill rather than their dances, which clearly shows in their early years eras. 4th gen nowadays rather focused on visual and less on vocal qualities, like my favorite group (ironically) LE SSERAFIM, which is Kazuha & Sakura; clearly show lack on vocals but extremely great on the visual department, but HYBE helped them with always had vocal training in her schedules. Same with others groups as I know. But again, is much more easier job to put the certain task to each member to mastered it, rather to give it all task to all member to mastered it.
@@adityasixviandyj7334 2PM is unique because all members can sing and rap well enough to do so live despite labels assigned to them (e.g. Jun K and Taecyeon are the main vocalist and rapper respectively but are comfortable to swap roles). Even Nichkhun surprised me in later releases because I knew him as a rapper. My main pet peeve with 4th gen is what you mentioned about increased focus on choreography and visuals but not so much on vocals or stage presence. That's probably one reason why 4th gen idols rarely ever goes on Immortal Songs because they will be exposed (the program is pre-recorded but is in front of a live audience). That's the show idols want to go on to get mainstream recognition as vocalists outside the K-pop scene.
As an oldie K-pop fan, you have no idea how happy this made me.... They grew up so much, they matured so much, they all look sooo freaking good and healthy AAAAAHHHHH I'm so happy mannnn
This is the real definition of live singing. You can definitely tell the difference between this and so claimed live performance of other kpop group nowadays. It's just so impossible to sound like the original audio when you're singing with hard choreography. It's so ridiculous and this video is the prove how the live singing sound in reality when you're dancing, and they're really good with it. Well just go and watch all 2nd generation of kpop to know what live singing is. They're the best!
no need to mention other groups here but okay, yes some groups don't sing 100% live and some are pre-recorded which happens now mainly because of not having an audience but a lot of 3rd and 4th gen groups do in fact sing live, it is possible to be stable while singing and dancing hard choreo. there is literally no need to talk down about other groups performances 😂 but I guess if u wanna believe that all groups who ain't 2nd gen don't sing live then you do you 🤡
it's definitely hard but not impossible.. kpop groups nowadays must have different pressure when it comes to their comeback performance compared to 2nd gen groups which already performing hundred times and could enjoy their stage more freely, i mean there's no pressure to be perfect(as in the studio ver) etc, they have found their own way to show their amazing performance i am not saying that 2nd gen group is not professional on their comeback but you know a legend as 2pm is already great as it is and definitely slay the show in every way~

We need to normalise idols staying active past 30s. They are not old. Look at rihanna, look at beyonce, look at timberland, look at drake. Only kpop fans think 30 is too old to sing and perform.

My favorite metal musicians are in their 50s and 60s and were still touring until the pandemic hit. Kpop fans who are actively commenting on YT are probably in their early to mid-teens.

It's so refreshing hear idols singing live like the old times.
As I know, most of 2nd gen idols is built with live singing skill, but at 3rd gen I think that when live singing is not much focused in these music shows as their choreography become more complex, especially the boys group sectors due their choreography become more acrobatics & complex to 2nd gen. But again, the most company that time still keep their main auditions to peoples who had visual and vocal qualities in them. That's why at transition phase to 3rd gen, the album of the groups had some ballads in them to showed of the member vocals qualities. Mamamoo is quite prime example of the few last 3rd gen debut who built focused on vocal & live singing skill rather than their dances, which clearly shows in their early years eras.
4th gen nowadays rather focused on visual and less on vocal qualities, like my favorite group (ironically) LE SSERAFIM, which is Kazuha & Sakura; clearly show lack on vocals but extremely great on the visual department, but HYBE helped them with always had vocal training in her schedules. Same with others groups as I know. But again, is much more easier job to put the certain task to each member to mastered it, rather to give it all task to all member to mastered it.
@@adityasixviandyj7334 2PM is unique because all members can sing and rap well enough to do so live despite labels assigned to them (e.g. Jun K and Taecyeon are the main vocalist and rapper respectively but are comfortable to swap roles). Even Nichkhun surprised me in later releases because I knew him as a rapper.
My main pet peeve with 4th gen is what you mentioned about increased focus on choreography and visuals but not so much on vocals or stage presence. That's probably one reason why 4th gen idols rarely ever goes on Immortal Songs because they will be exposed (the program is pre-recorded but is in front of a live audience). That's the show idols want to go on to get mainstream recognition as vocalists outside the K-pop scene.
As an oldie K-pop fan, you have no idea how happy this made me.... They grew up so much, they matured so much, they all look sooo freaking good and healthy AAAAAHHHHH I'm so happy mannnn

This is the real definition of live singing. You can definitely tell the difference between this and so claimed live performance of other kpop group nowadays. It's just so impossible to sound like the original audio when you're singing with hard choreography. It's so ridiculous and this video is the prove how the live singing sound in reality when you're dancing, and they're really good with it. Well just go and watch all 2nd generation of kpop to know what live singing is. They're the best!
*ahem* i have one new group in mind who has never performed live...
no need to mention other groups here but okay, yes some groups don't sing 100% live and some are pre-recorded which happens now mainly because of not having an audience but a lot of 3rd and 4th gen groups do in fact sing live, it is possible to be stable while singing and dancing hard choreo. there is literally no need to talk down about other groups performances 😂 but I guess if u wanna believe that all groups who ain't 2nd gen don't sing live then you do you 🤡
it's definitely hard but not impossible..
kpop groups nowadays must have different pressure when it comes to their comeback performance compared to 2nd gen groups which already performing hundred times and could enjoy their stage more freely, i mean there's no pressure to be perfect(as in the studio ver) etc, they have found their own way to show their amazing performance
i am not saying that 2nd gen group is not professional on their comeback but you know a legend as 2pm is already great as it is and definitely slay the show in every way~

We need to normalise idols staying active past 30s. They are not old. Look at rihanna, look at beyonce, look at timberland, look at drake. Only kpop fans think 30 is too old to sing and perform.
@@hafsa1698 I think that's because kpop fans are extremely young on average so they don't really know much about life and time. My favorite metal musicians are in their 50s and 60s and were still touring until the pandemic hit. Kpop fans who are actively commenting on YT are probably in their early to mid-teens.
