I watched all the videos on this playlist to review for my AP style unit 3 test and got a 90! I normally average a low B test grade in that class so thank you!
i used to be so upset over reading documents for government. i never understood them. but watching these videos after i read them help me understand them to the fullest extent. i mentioned this channel to my teacher and now if we are reading a difficult to understand document, we watch one of your videos. thank you sooooo much!
Ooh which rights were proposed but never ratified? The right to clean water? Clean air? The right not to have a train loaded with toxic poisons overturn in your friggin' back yard?! Keep it up, you're doing great with all your little rights!
Dear Heimer, you are my worst enemy because the unit three review of everything I need to know the really long one is behind a payroll and I am a broke high school senior and this is all your fault that I’m gonna fail my test
Do you have the second amendment right to bear arms only after you pass the test. if you don't pass the test and your chief of police doesn't like you good luck
OK - fair point given the purpose of the video. And the 10th amendment from a historical court interpretation perspective has been around issues regarding states. It seems to me every word in the BoR is so very carefully chosen, loopholes and all, so I would rather it said what it is, and then clarified how it has been interpreted. But this is a short video - you could spend an hour at least debating the use of cruel AND unusual vs cruel OR unusual in the 8th amendment - wouldn't be appropriate here. 🤪

Just want to clarify - what is the difference between civil liberties and civil rights if such difference exists?
Liberties are rights guaranteed in the Constitution. Civil rights is the effort to make sure all Americans have equal access to those liberties.
I remember seeing the Charleston Heston movie about the Ten Amendments.

i love u heimler so much. you’ve been my hero since junior year in APUSH 😊🩷
10th amendment - "...are reserved to the States respectively, ***or to the people.***" - you left that out.
Yep. ".. belongs exclusively to the states" is just not true.
Very misleading
The point the collegeboard wants you to take from the amendment is that it’s a states thing so that’s how it’s taught 😅
