At last some more of my favourite movie vehicle ever. If I had space for it I'd be building this myself. If you apply a bit of gentle heat to the plastic parts that need to be bent, not enough to melt the plastic, it will hold its shape better.
I'm really impressed you got the doors on with no fettling, panel gaps and hanging doors are a big pain when working on a car and granted this is not full size but I'm sure you have made enough models to know not all panels are created equal so well done you or well designed models. If I were you I would say its the wizards fingers that got sitting right first time and that kind of works and sits well, The Wizarding World of Wayne, you need to get something Potter related or do a diorama with some of the dragons or the train, basically anything you can come up with. Yup The Wizarding World of Wayne sits well on you buddy. A true wizard in modelling world. Thanks again for a brilliant show and all the effort you put into it and please take care and stay safe.
I see a bit of a gap on the top side on the door you just mounted (look at 13:09), maybe tightening the top screw on the mount and loosening the bottom one could do the trick...
Yep this vehicle is really coming along now. As others have written i think this build wil get to stage 100 or less then go to the roof rack. Loving the build as all ways. Stay safe all.
16:51 - I've noticed watching this you didn't mention that you had/need to removed a screw from the frame as this is obstructing the bottom lug that screws in from the inside of the vehicle, well I did anyway as I found the window frame didn't sit flush to the vehicle and I wondered why, did you find this and forget to mention it?
I enjoy your builds . I have debated on buying this build. I do wish we could get a figure comparison to the ecto 1 . The size would help . Any figure would do . Because of your video I was able to the the T800 . Very happy with it . Thank you .
Looking good. Still waiting for my replacement issue 16 to be shipped to me its now been 2 months, They sent me a replacement last month but it was some screw up as they only sent the instructions when I informed them I never received the package in the first place. Hope they can get it to me cause I am a couple issues behind you in my stash and I should be getting my power mod in a couple weeks hopefully.
I love this build, but I'm currently building the BTTF DeLorean AND the USS Enterprise-D, so I'm a bit stretched for funding at the moment...so at least I get to watch you build it 😎
Love the videos! I'm following along myself with my own. The only thing that worries me at the moment is I tried to put the body work on the lower half for storage and I cannot for the life of me get it to fit on! Any tips on how to fit the top half to the bottom? Am I missing a trick, as I can see you can do it? Can't wait until the next issue!
I will show in the next video. There are two tabs I have removed from the front to easily get in place. When the bodywork is finished I will just screw the tabs back into place.
It's from a company called Model Designs who sadly are no longer with us. I was hoping they would return once the pandemic is over but we will have to see.
Hi Wayne! Have you done a test fit of the body to the base of the car yet? I find that my front doors pop open immediately and cannot close due to a rub with the sides of the upper part of the side foot well panels. Everything else aligns perfectly. Let me know your thoughts. ~Saul
Yep. I do it everytime I put it away. Open the doors when you put it on and then make sure the front end is fully down. Your doors are popping open because the front end is not fully engaged
Glad you’re still getting issues, Wayne. Nothing for me for about 5 months now and nothing at all since they took 400 quid from me for annual payment. All the joy has now been sucked out this build. I’ll finish this and I’m done with Eaglemoss. I’ll give Agora a try to see if they can do better, otherwise will be going back to plastic kits. It’s not worth this hassle. I wouldn’t accept this from any other company so I don’t see why I should from EM.
Curious what type of glue you used to get that piece of side trim in kit 89 to stay put around the back of the window? I've ordered a third kit 89 because that piece of trim has peeled back twice for me so far and Gorilla Glue has done nothing to keep it secured.

Looking amazing, Wayne. I'm really curious... Are the windows on the real Ecto-1 tinted with that odd striped pattern? It just seems out of place to me.
@@WorldofWayneUK I just scanned through it on Prime movies. Yes the windows Are correct! I just never looked close enough. Either that or it's another wierd Mandela Effect thing again. Like C3-PO's silver leg. Lol.
I read somewhere that it was a choice from the movie maker to hide the face of who’s really driving the car, while still giving a little bit of visibility on the inside and uniforms ! That was a trick for the closeups when the “stunt man” was driving the car. By the way if you look closely at that tinting on the first movie, on a giant screen, you realize how a horrible job they made, with bubbling and poor cutting (back then the aftermarket tinting films where not what they are today)
I'm finding the doors to be the biggest pain in the butt. my front door don't seem flush with the frame, the back door I work on forever, it wasn't flash, I has to remove so much paint and finally got it flush to have the biggest gap ever at the top of the door. And then the bit on the back didn't stick and the metal out of shape and ask for a replacement. 🤣🤣🤣 this build just to to a nightmare for me from the doors onwards so far.
I'm working on the Delorean and at the Windshield and Door issues. Do you have any recommendation on preventing finger smudging on the windows? I was thinking of using latex gloves but was concerned I would lose gripping control on tiny pieces. Thanks.
just finished this issue and I've got a gap along the top of the rear door its wide at the hinge side of the door and sealed at the other any ideas how I can get rid of it?
I know your pain. heard its become a common problem. I got the same problem of a gap at the top. I'm using rubbers bands to try and force it to bend into place but if that don't work I might have to gentle bend it. 😬
ok sound interesting. I check the website. So let me see IF i get these right. you select a product, and the first is x amount. When you make the subscription on the model magazine you get parts per 30days. that is right?
That's what is supposed to happen but delays can happen just look at Wayne's video start date's for what could be some of the delay durations. Just to let you know most of the delays through out this year have been because of the CORVID 19 outbreak and the cargo ship getting stuck as it caused over two weeks of tailback for the other cargo ships.
