Hey! Thanks for watching! Cardmaking videos really struggle on my channel, and this one is ranking last out of my 10 most recent videos, which will limit its reach. If you like this video, could you do me a favor and share it? It would mean the world to me! Simply click the share button, and you can get the link for the video to choose a social media to share it on. Thanks!
Many years ago I found your channel because of your card making videos. I've used many of your ideas over the years. When I saw the foam squares I started laughing. Couldn't believe you still had them. I'll miss Rubbernecker Stamps. They always had great demos at the stamp shows. Local King Rubber Stamps also makes wonderful products. I have several of their sets.
I haven't used this technique in years. Sigh... Thank you for reminding me how easy and oh so lovely this can be. I love your card videos. Thank you for sharing. You have not yet run out of the yellow foam squares!!!!
So amazed how you make things so well yet it feels like it is easy. You inspired me to pull out my old wood mounted penny black stamps. I have tried this technique before with very little markers. Now I have a good amount of different colored markers, need to try this again!!!
I love rubber stamps the most, and I haven’t used mine in a while. I’m so glad you showed me a new way to use them. What a great way to make cards quickly.
Wow Lindsay, this tutorial was awesome and the cards you’ve created are just beautiful. I truly enjoy when you show us your card ideas. Thank you and enjoy your weekend.
Love this video! Took me right back to when I first started card making over 20 yrs ago! When we didn’t have sticky pads or double sided tape! 😂 the simp,e days!
I'm a saver of goodies for sure. I keep it all. Tea tags and bags, ribbons and clothing tags etc. It really cuts down on my craft spending and I feel good about upcycling instead of trashing things. I haven't tried these markers but they look amazing. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas. 😊😊
I love your card making videos! I've shared it to pinterest and texted the link to a friend. This is such a fun technique for stamping! Thanks for making this video. I hope it will do well for you! ❤
Beautiful cards. Glad you used some older stamps. I like how you used that background stamp. Most videos are just about selling the product. Thanks for your video.
I know your card making mojo/interest comes and goes (just as mine does!), but I seriously love your card tutorials. Your cards are so unique and you always use classic techniques and a variety of different embellishments, as well as the “use what you have” philosophy! Thanks for the video, Lindsay. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
I love watching you make cards Lindsey! Especially when you use your old stash! :) These are so pretty! I might have some of these floral images. I also love the mulberry paper! So delicate...
Thanks for showing the marker technique. I do not see many people using this technique. I own a lot of waterbased markers and it will be fun to use this technique with my many supplies.
I love your card making videos I feel like a card maker through you ❤ you explain so well I feel if I want to make a card I can just from watching your videos 😂❤
Thank you so much Lindsay for making this video. I love your cardmaking techniques and your "use what you have" philosophy. I too love red rubber stamps-- they are the best. Cheers, Doreen
This was a lovely video, I almost always watch your videos to the end because I find that your designs and tips are so worth watching. Hope you have had a great holiday and best wishes to you and yours!
I love the look and I have some gifted floral rubber stamps that will be perfect! Also, the foam squares! ha. A tip to new makers is use leftover card stock scraps to add dimension. Inexpensive, handy and environmentally-friendly! A totally "frugal crafter" idea. 🙂
These are stunning Lindsay, thank you for sharing. I was thinking, I don't have those beautiful stamps, but they are so simple I'm going to watercolor them myself. It won't be as fast, but it will be great practice. Again, thank you for sharing!
Those botanical stamps you used are to die for! I've been making similar cards using what I have (clear stamps) and then lightly spritzing them before stamping. I love the watercolor effects I get. I've been hoarding a stack of homemade paper I received as a gift and it looks very similar to your mulberry paper. Some of the papers have small flowers and foliage embedded in them. You've inspired me to finally use that precious paper! I've seen bags of rubber stamps for sale at thrift stores so I'm now on the hunt for some of those. I've never used rubber stamps but I see them being very useful with less fussy designs than the clear stamps I've been using. Thank you soooo much for this very helpful and useful video! Oh, and I shared it with a friend on Pinterest!
TELL ME WHO DOESN’T HAVE PAPER PADS FROM DECADES AGO😂 Omg… tons!!!! I need inspiration for those packs that are not available anymore. I need to use them! Lindsay, please can you make a series on cards using scraps of these papers. I am glad to see you doing cards. ❤❤❤❤
The yellow foam stickers still live!!!! Well its too early in the morning here but i will salute you with a warm cup of tea later on when the sun comes up dear!! Wouldn't it be hysterical if one of the big stamping supplies places actually introduced the Frugal Crafter Yellow Foam Squares product line, lol! Have a great holiday season Lindsay and family! 💛💛💛💛
Awesome video. It’s been a while since I created a card. I have been making so many sketchbooks, and junk journals over the last few months. I have fallen out of practice. Thanks for the inspiration.
Absolutely beautiful cards Lindsay. I’ve got loads of sillouette stamps and I’ve got got Aqua markers so will definitely be trying this technique! Your card videos are my favourite
Lovely and simple--and free for me...today, anyway. I have tons of all these things. Thanks for the refresh on markers. This is a great way to use them on cards since in my past I ruined a few cards because the markers would seep through. That can't happen using them in this way!
These are wonderful Lindsay! One suggestion for people who don't have foam squares or foam tape is to use a small piece of cardboard as a backing and glue that to the card. It's a great cost saver and still gives the card dimension.
Also using chrome coat paper works well. You can create a nice leaf background using tiny flat leaf stamps, stamping several times so its not too white.
Gee, never tried this technique, but like the watercolour effect with the mist. Also never heard of mulberry paper. What a lovely paper. Thanks for some great tips Lindsay. I have rice paper which I am going to try.
Oooo I love this! I just bought 2 big rubber stamps at a thrift store but don't have any ink pads. So I'm definitely going to try this with markers. I imagine alcohol markers would probably dry up on the stamp?

Yes and misting it either alcohol could dry out the rubber and decrease its life.
I've used this technique with Crayola markers, which are very, very inexpensive, if you wanted to try out a few water based markers before investing.
@stephb7960 cool thanks!
You don't want to use alcohol markers on any type of stamp, esp. rubber. Any water based medium can work for stamping if you can control the amount of water and pigment. The marker beads up on silicone but it should work on photopolymer.
