Kilburn is the oddest place - pretty much every side street is full of houses that you couldn't wish to afford in a million years, but the High Road itself is grim - dirty and overcrowded, and with a general down-at-heel feeling. my time in kilburn was from 1967 to dec 1980...good time and not so good times as it is with everyone. the last time i passed through kilburn was with my ex last summer...if i'm honest i miss here more than my old manor.
I live a mile from it my whole life and i now hate Kilburn! Once the Irish left, the place turned to s**t. Now its a semi ghetto with more pound shops and crap chicken shops than you can imagine! I guess the fact i was near beaten to death at 5pm might add to my hate for the place. Most of my generation i knew that grew up in Kilburn turned into drug addicts of some sort! As for the park, id rather chill in my garden than sit watching bums! I must say though the Tryiycle is a great place.

I grew up in Kilburn in the 70's/80's when it was full of fine Irish and west Indians, they have nearly all disappeared...it's a s**t hole now...
