Finally, I've had a chance to watch this and wow, what a successful year of knitting 2022 was for you. All garments are so beautiful and I enjoyed the stories and sometimes, mishaps. It was so nice to hear what "everybody and their dogs" were doing - it has been a while. 😂😂😂😂😂
So many beautiful jumpers in a wide variety of styles! I love that you appreciate the way your mom taught you. Your art is also good. Enjoy your ski trip!
Nice to see your jumpers again. I still really love that jumper which you are still working on the pattern and tech editing for, glad you are still going ahead and planning to release the pattern when it's ready.
Sam, It is a privilege to spendctime with you. Of course you need fo find balance in your life. This is not something you need to feel guilty about or apologise for. It us your channel and your content. It is for you to decide whatvandcwhen you want to post. If people dont like it, that is their responsibility
You are way too kind! Thanks so much for the support...really means a lot! This world of social media sometimes is tough...I like to apologise before facing all the criticism 😂 have a wonderful end of year and a great 2023 ❤️
Wow! You are such a prolific knitter. I love finding other men on here that share the shame joy and love I have for knitting and hand making things. I subscribed and look forward to more content from you! Happy New Year!
Oh, I’m so excited to see your paintings. I am also a dual artist I like sketching and painting as well as fiber arts, so I am excited that you’re merging the two love your podcast. You are incredible.
Aw wow!!!! That's incredible! I thought I was the only one with multiple obsessions 😂 we need to figure out how to make a day last at least 30 hours so we can fit all our hobbies...don't you think?
I think part is that I am quite familiar with that construction, and I am able to shape it as I like. I had pretty bad disasters with top down raglans that ended up fitting comfortably a yeti
Hello Sam, first of all many congratulations in your work life. How fabulous you are able to go back and do some more studying. It will be exciting to have something new to get your teeth into. The partners must have seen how good you are to offer this new step up so well done. I thought at first you were going to say you would not be able to continue your knitting podcast and my heart sank. Delighted with your art shorts you put up and more than delighted that you are able to continue your knitting ones. As someone who is old enough to be your mother, I feel I can say “don’t overdo things” though and if you feel a vlog every fortnight is too much then make it every month. So now your 2022 knitting - WOW - I have seen them all throughout the year but didn’t realise how many jumpers you had knit. All wonderful and fabulous. Hope you have fun wearing them and surely people must stop you to ask where the jumper you are wearing is from. Have a great New Year whether you are at home (Italy) or at home ( Ireland) and see you soon but thank you so much for sharing. 🎄🌟
I am so impressed with how many sweaters you've managed to knit, especially since your collection includes sweaters made with fingering weight yarn. Do you have any suggestions for the rest of us as to how we can learn to also be as productive as you are? 🥰
Its fab what you made I hope you taken photos of what you make you great at what you do love your video happy new year to you may it be a fab one healthy one a happy one.
Hi Sam, what an amazing amount of knitting in just one year, not just jumpers but all the extra items, socks etc. Sounds like you have made quite a commitment for the next year. Try and save some time for enjoyment of life. I am looking forward to watching your art podcasts as I am sure all your knitting followers are. Even Arne and Carlos have said their channel started as a knitting channel and has now become more of a ‘lifestyle’ channel. Hope you are enjoying your holiday.
Your sweaters are magnificent. Merging your two passions is fine. I enjoy both kinds of art. You have to do what you have to do. It's okay. Just don't disappear! You haven't mentioned your blanket. Maybe I can guess why 😆! Enjoy skiing ⛷. You need the time having been so busy. Take care, don't stress. Your followers will support you!
Sam you are just incredible...... such an over achiever and impeccable in all you do. I wish you every success with your new year's studies and look forward to perhaps learning something about art. By the way I love your little watercolor videos, especially the Bialetti, which is my daily morning ritual coffee. all the best.
I have just found your channel. This is the first video I have watched. I am just blown away with your talent and look forward to all your content. Thank you for sharing your talents. Happy New Year
I started knitting last year November ish and have been working on a hat for myself! Your collection is wonderful. And it got me think that I wish one day I will have my very own handmade sweater 😊
Always so nice to see your beautiful sweaters! When you have knit 18 sweaters that is a LOT since they are Man Size! Thank your for sharing your thoughts on them. I love your Colorwork sweaters so much it is hard to pick a favorite. Keep pursuing your passions as you are truly gifted with so many talents. Your painting podcasts are really interesting and I always learn something new from you. Best of luck with your new endeavors! Please keep your knitting podcast going even if you don't have time to knit as much as it is always a joy to visit with you! Have a great time skiing and visiting with your family and Happy New Year!!
So much garments in one year .... and that with mostly small needles. I love the Holst yarn too. Right now I knit with plötulopi and with manchelopi (from Spain and not itchy) one pullover needed nearly 200 g in eu size 42 ! I personally prefer to put my woolen sweaters outside for around 3 days. The wool is like washed after that. It kind of absorbs the humidity of the nights. Hugs and ciao from Germany
@@irishfarmart I have got a new order of Manchelopie .... the nature tones are not as soft as the rosie color.... I am waiting for Nutidien from Sweden they are recommended the most.
They are all stunning! ISo inspirational Sam! I would love to sit there and do some knitting with you. "il mestiere si impara guardando" diceva mio nonno.
Great review of all of the sweaters. I hope your tech editing course is coming along. I signed up for a certification to be a teacher course although I'm not all that enthusiastic about it and am unsure how it might become handy. Happy skiiing!
WOW! You were very busy knitting this year! It’s hard to pick a favourite as they are all gorgeous but I’m drawn to In Stillness by Alicia Plummer😊 I wish you a Happy, Healthy New Year. I also wish you success in all your endeavours❤️
Wow, I'm so impressed. Your jumpers are wonderful. How many hours do you knit per day??? You not only knitted these jumpers, but also 24 pairs of socks? And hats and mittens and cardigans? You must be a very fast knitter. Can you show that one day?
Love the jumpers you have knitted. Good luck on your Constuctural Law Degree. As a mother, focus on that rather than your channel. 😊 My nephew did an Engineering degree in Australia and managed to get a position with Boeing in Seattle. He then switched to Company law with Boeing.
I have a dilemma. Maybe you can give your thoughts. You can address me or use on a podcast. I never like when manufacturers knott yarn pieces together. Do you keep the knot or do you cut it out so you have longer tails? Do you trust the knot? And if so why have tails at all....just tie everything. I do go for the tails even though I hate weaving tails! My last yarn skein had too many knots for my peace of mind. The other skeins had no knots. It is so frustrating!
So, this is a very interesting question! First of, some yarn manufacturers put a little X in their labels when it's a skein with knots...it took me a while to realise it. It's super small by the gauge usually. In any case, I tend to cut the knots and sew in the ends...but like you I get really annoyed when I find THAT SKEIN 😂 I ll keep this question for the next podcast if you don't mind 😋
I didn't know about the "x" maybe not in our country hmmmmm. I would like to know how others feel so no I don't mind you addressing this in a video. Thank you!

Wow that's a lot of sweaters. Good job.
Yay 😁 thank you
You knit more sweaters in a yr than I can in a few lifetimes 😂 they're all so gorgeous. Thank you for sharing!

WOW I am lucky to finish 1 how do you not frog just out of boredom. That is so my problem... wonderful job and I am inspired by you.

What a delicious stack you have there. Regarding Drops Fable maybe your knitting has changed due to the weather.
