    Super Mario's Night Before Christmas:
    T'was the night before Christmas, when all through the castle
    Not a Toad was stirring, not even a vassel;
    Princess Peach was sleeping in her chamber at peace,
    Wrapped in a blanket of a Toad's finest fleece;
    Mario was at home slumbering still in his bed,
    While Luigi had his friends all cheer in his head;
    And even all the boos, all slept in their caps,
    Waiting for St. Nick, after their Christmas Eve naps.
    When out near the castle there arose such a clatter,
    Mario sprang from his bed to see what was the matter;
    Away to his window he jumped with a bound,
    Tore open his window to see what made that sound.
    And off in the distance invading the kingdom,
    Flew Bowser at the castle riding a minion;
    All the Toad guards awoke looking in fear,
    To defend the castle with shield and spear.
    More rapid than eagles Koopas and Goombas attacked,
    With Bowser shouting orders as his minions ransacked!
    “Now, Morton! Now, Ludwig! Now Roy and Larry!
    On, Junior! On Wendy! On Iggy and Lemmy!
    To the tops of the towers! To the tops of the wall!
    Now dash attack! Dash attack! Dash attack all!”
    As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
    Mario ran, jumped through the night sky;
    Luigi rose too, to side by his brother,
    Jumping past obstacles, one after another;
    Princess Peach wailed for Mario's aide,
    For her hero to come so she could be saved;
    Mario powered up with a Fire Flower in hand,
    And Luigi followed near as they ran through the land.
    Bowser and his minions all cowered in fright,
    As their ambush unraveled that cold winter's night;
    “Stop! Desist! We're not here for trouble!
    We're here on good terms,” Boswer said with a grumble.
    “It's Christmas Eve,” said Bowser. “We bring a truce of goodwill;
    For one time of the year, we koopas, pay the bill.”
    The Toads and the Princess all stood there confused,
    But the Mario Bros. stood smiling, slightly bemused;
    It was true that the Koopa King wasn't there for a problem,
    What looked like attacks were just Goombas with garland;
    Bowser began to laugh, as he held his large belly,
    As a Paratroopa walked in with a bowl full of jelly;
    Princess Peach who was pleased by the sudden affair,
    Exclaimed she would bake a cake for all who was there;
    And as they prepared for the sudden festivities,
    They planned a great kart race and Christmas Activities;
    For even Bowser, despite wanting to kidnap Peach,
    Was filled with Christmas spirit, and wanted outreach.
    (It probably helped create a temporary peace treaty. Look it up. Mario Timelines. It's totally canon. Trust me, I'm the Sensei.)
    But despite all the cheer, and all the goodwill,
    Another surprise began to speed over the hill;
    With a jingle and a jangle, it dodged through the trees,
    Toads arose from their beds, shaking their knees;
    Dropping into a chimney, the shadow was quick,
    Leaving presents for all, Mario saw right through it's trick!
    “St. Nick! It's Santa!” A Toad did cry,
    As presents floated down, from the sleigh in the sky!
    Luigi only caught a glimpse of the man in the sleigh,
    And the reindeer who flew, just like a ballet.
    Presents appeared beneath the Castle tree,
    Even Bowser got a present, and it filled him with glee.
    Then with a tug on the reigns, Santa waved out his hand,
    And his reindeer flew strong from Santa's command.
    And the Mushroom Kingdom heard, and he drove out of sight -
    “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
    Lick and Scrubside!
